Ray, is Herbig seen as Highsmith’s successor?  Will they extend him with a starter’s contract?

Highsmith is signed through 2027 so I'm not sure that's the plan especially with Sawyer being drafted this year. As good as Herbig has been he might just play four years here. Unless, of course, they trade or release Highsmith. But the only way that happens is if his play declines or he's injured a lot.
