To upgrade OL would Steelers try to trade a wide receiver ?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:09
If that helps them acquire a capable left tackle then sure. They do have depth there.

Steelers spent big money on the OL in free agency. Was this a waste of money or is it too early to tell?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:09
Too early to tell, but Mason Cole and James Daniels have to play better than they to this point.

Is it really worth it to spend a high draft pick for an offensive tackle at this point? This team isn't going to the Super Bowl regardless. Can't they find someone who is simply adequate to hold the position this season and so that the QBs and RBs don't get killed?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:10
I guess that's easier said than done.

The Giants released Quincy Roche.  What are the odds he ends up back with the Steelers given their lack of OLB depth
Ray Fittipaldo
11:11
I guess we'll find out soon.

how much playing time will jaylin warren get?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:12
They would like to spell Najee Harris a little more than they did last season, so Warren and/or Snell should see a few more carries. But I still expect Harris to be a workhorse.

Any more word on the nature/severity of Kazee’s injury?  Is the NFL going start with the upper body/lower body NHL injury crap?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:12
Longer term, but I don't know that it's season-ending.

I believe Starkey once put forth the argument that one could find acceptable guard play by scouring the waiver wire and/or the corner bar. It's about talent eval.  And the folks on the North Side have been bad at the OL, and worse, somewhat arrogant about it, no?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:13
Misevaluations are one thing, but not investing a first- or second-round pick in an OL is another. It was going to catch up to them eventually, and it has.

Would they trade Rudolph for a 5th?  I doubt any team would offer more than  a 6th though.
Ray Fittipaldo
11:14
Maybe for a fifth, but nothing less than that.

Robinson looks like a player. I don't care how much he doesn't know the defense. It isn't rocket science. Get him up to speed and let him play. He looks better than either Devin Bust or Spillane?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:15
It might not be rocket science, but it's more complicated than you think especially for a player still learning the position.

This seems like a good schedule to cover the Steelers this season, except maybe for so many night games. You have your reservations set?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:16
For most of the road trips, yes.

How has Terrell Edmunds looks in preseason?  Haven’t heard anything, which is usually a good thing for DBs.
Ray Fittipaldo
11:17
He looks about the same to me.

any chance they play Edmunds some at ILB? He seems like he doesn't mind sticking his nose in there.
Ray Fittipaldo
11:18
He can be a box safety in sub.

11:18
The RB Warren and LB Robinson seem to be the low-round/FA gems this preseason. Anyone else?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:18
No, those are the big two.

What is your favorite NFL road trip?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:21
San Francisco is nice. But for the places we go regularly, I like Baltimore and Cincinnati.
11:22
OK thanks for all the great questions this week. We'll do it again next week.
