You can never predict injuries. Clearly, they believed Rudolph was better. Why hold onto him when you can get a draft pick for him?

Is the game clock on tv different than the one in the stadium?  The play Big Dan got flagged on, the clock on tv was at about -1 when the ball was snapped, and the announcers never mentioned it.

They always give some leeway on delay of game in that situation.

Nice to see everything laid out like that. But anyone who spent any time around him knew he wasn't a good kid. He's a bad kid. He once was a good kid, when he first arrived. But he turned into a bad kid.
