Hi Ray Terrell Edmunds has been ridiculously bad for almost 4 years. He was a 3rd rounder at best. He has always been a leak in the defense. Should he be moved to left guard?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:25
That made me LOL.

I know it all seems bleak, but I'll point out a couple of things. Green Bay is a good football team. That blocked punt being called back was the 10-point difference in the game. And if Ben hits both those throws, Steelers likely win. To me, this game just demonstrated the very fine line between winning and losing in the NFL.

A glass half-full kind of guy! You make some good points. But that's the NFL every week. Blowouts are few and far between. There are usually two or three plays every game that are really important. If you make them you win, if not you lose. The Packers made more of those plays than the Steelers did.

Is it too early to say that the Steelers made a bad decision drafting Harvin and/or cutting berry
Ray Fittipaldo
1:28
Harvin has been average at best.

If it comes to the point that the Steelers have to bench Ben because of his play I could see it being done during an away game, but doesn’t it have to be done BEFORE a home game? I can’t see them subjecting him to that embarrassment in the middle of a game at Heinz Field.

Two more home games and then the off week before a game in Cleveland. A lot of people have said that's the perfect time to do it if you're going to do it. But again, I go back to what Tomlin said today. He still believes he's the best QB for this team.

Horrible play call on that dump to Najee. They could have at least run it to the left side of the formation to really throw off the Packers D.
Ray Fittipaldo

Especially when you don't allow the QB to check the play at the line of scrimmage.

Good afternoon Ray! Looks like we are starting to see how big of a loss Tyson Alualu was. The run defense is definitely not look the same. What say you?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:31
Tuitt's absence has something to do with that, too. When you lose two of your three starting defensive linemen in the first two weeks of the season you're going to struggle.

Ray,  love the chats.  One simple question for you today.  Is Ben done?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:32
He's not playing well, but to say he's "done" I'm not sure. He needs to play better, the line has to play better, the run game has to get going and become a factor, the defense has to be better...I could go on and on.

Hello Ray.  How would you rate coach Tomlin's hiring record? Are you confident he could find the right coaching talents to fit his system?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:34
He's made some good hires and some bad hires. He seems to like familiarity when he hires people. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. As long as this offense continues to struggle there are going to be questions about Matt Canada because of his lack of experience in the NFL.

Hi Ray, great chats!  I only have one, miserable, simple question that seemingly no one will answer:  Who called the plays on 4th down wherein we throw the ball backwards to Harris?  Who is 100% responsible for those mind-numbingly stupid play calls? That's all I want to know Ray, can you help please?  Thx!
Ray Fittipaldo
1:35
Matt Canada, according to Tomlin today. Unless Tomlin did and I doubt that.

Hey Ray.  Best guess as to when Ben is replaced at qb?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:35
January of 2022 unless things go even more off the rails this season.

Hey Ray.  Better chance of happening:  Steelers at .500 ot better this year or Ben replaced in-season?  Thanks!
Ray Fittipaldo
1:36
Steelers at .500. All it's going to take is wins over Denver and Seattle at home.

What’s it going to take to get a wild card berth in a 17 game season?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:37
Lots of 3-1 teams and 1-3 teams in the AFC right now. I am guessing 9-8 might get the No. 7 seed. But it's so hard to tell a month into the season.

Thanks for taking the time to do these Ray.  Agree things have looked pretty bad on offense and overall the last 3 weeks but not ready to panic.  Generally a pessimist by nature so atypical for me, but think they have the potential to get to 3-3 by the break and if healthy can do damage from there.  I just see a lot of missed plays that should be easy to resolve.  Should I go to the doc to see what’s wrong with me?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:38
If the defense gets healthy and back to being a dominant unit they have a chance to be in a lot of games, even with that offense.

Good afternoon Ray has Tuitt Been around the team hopefully he is back soon
Ray Fittipaldo
1:39
I haven't seen Tuitt in more than a month. He's never at practice. But he could be coming around and doing rehab in the facility. I just don't have an answer at this point. They need him back.

If Banner is ready to go do they bench Moore and move Chucks to LT or just bench Chucks?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:40
I get the idea they would bench Chuks, but that's just a hunch.

Hi Ray.  I don’t understand why Ben is not utilizing Friermuth more, especially with the injuries to the wideouts.  Your thoughts? Thanks.
Ray Fittipaldo
1:41
I have the same question. They're not using the middle of the field very much at all.

1:41
If the Steelers don’t win another game this year does Mike Tomlin get fired?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:41
1-16! An NFL first. I doubt it, but they'd probably get the No. 1 pick.
Buster

Can you explain the rule that mandated there to be no commercial breaks during the first quarter on Sunday?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:42
Not sure if it's a rule, but apparently most of the country had to watch the Jets and Titans play in overtime so the usual commercial breaks were not needed. Or maybe there weren't as many commercials. I was watching from the press box so I don't know how many commercials ran in the first quarter.

I think that Canada is in, so far over his head, that he might not see the light until the season is over.  He wasn't fired from two (LSU was one) college coaching OC positions because of his play calling prowess.
Ray Fittipaldo
1:43
He's not off to a good start. I'll say that.

When you compare wk 4 OL performance to wks 1-3, would you rate it: trending up, trending down, or about the same?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:43
About the same or slightly trending up.
