Not sure about this season, but Pickens has more No. 1 traits. And that's not saying Johnson couldn't be a very viable No. 2. He could. He'd just have to buy into that and be a team player.

Has DJ addressed the need to stop backtracking on catches and giving up yards? Does he realize he is doing it?
Ray Fittipaldo

He's been asked about it. He always says he's just trying to make a play.

Why do you think clock management is such a struggle around the league?  Jeff Saturday will get all the attention for his gaffe, but the Steelers completely botched the end of the first half in my mind.  There was no reason to call timeouts right away after 6 yard gains inside the Colts 30 with like 1:30 and 1:15 to go.  They never should have allowed the Colts the time they needed to drive for what ended up being a blocked field goal.

I wouldn't compare Saturday's clock management to Tomlin's last night. Saturday's was awful at the end of the game. I didn't have a huge problem with the way Tomlin managed the game at the end of the first half. It was a 57-yard field goal or something like that. Chances are he wasn't going to make it anyway.

Hi Ray. I know this may be premature, but do you know of any elite Left Tackles that might be available in the picks 8-12 range in next years draft?

Too early. The PSU tackle going back to school doesn't help.

I was at the game last night, and I have to say that we just witnessed the beginning of something very special with K.P. For the first time the game truly looked to slow down for him. He was composed, even, and delivered in the big moment. He will just continue to get better, and I'm super stoked to watch this young man grow. It's been fun, and we can all look forward to  the great things coming. He's  the real deal. Thoughts?

It was a positive step in his development, but he still has a ways to go. I'd be encouraged though if I was in the Steelers front office.

I agree with Jim above, how can davis or Scott be worse than Moore?  If they are that bad why are they in the NFL?

Believe me, if they were better they'd be playing. They watch these guys in practice all the time. They weren't afraid to bench Green and sit him for a year.

Do you feel that Diontae is a number one receiver? He seems more like a number 2 or 3 to me. Way too many drops and he’s almost counterproductive in the open field. Doesn’t appear to be a solid locker room guy either

I think he's suited better to be a very good No. 2.

Hi Ray, don't you believe Hassenhaur was and is better the Green? yet Mike Tomlin played Green over JC

But Hassenauer isn't starting this year. They had to go find Mason Cole in free agency to replace him.

OK thanks for all the great questions this week. We'll do it again next Tuesday.
