Easiest ticket in years.

The Fan 93.7 might actually have to shut down if the Steelers/Raiders tie on Saturday. That would increase the chances of a .500 record for Tomlin and another "non-losing" season. That would make those guys so angry.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:23
It would make me angry too because my Christmas Eve would spill over into Christmas Day with an overtime period.

Hi Ray - With a $100M defense and more of a $30M output do you see cleaning house with the defensive coaches?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:24
Maybe not a house cleaning, but you could see some coaches leave.

Could we see any local collegiate players helping in black & gold next year?  Could PSU’s Porter or Pitt’s Kancey be available at the round 2 pick acquired from Chicago and would it be a wise choice there?  How about Pitt’s Dennis; do his skills translate to the next level?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:25
Kancey was impressive every time I watched him. I'll watch him more once the season is over, but I think he'd be a really good pick in Round 2.

Ray, will the cold and fairly dismal match-up between two semi-dysfunctional squads put a damper on Franco's evening? I say no, the 'burgh rightfully loves them some Franco. Your thoughts?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:26
As I said earlier, this game would have been sold out on the 23rd, the actual 50th anniversary. It's asking a lot of fans to go to a night game on Christmas Eve.

Who finishes the season with more TD passes, the 262nd pick in the draft, Brock Purdy, in 5 games or the 20th pick, Kenny Pickett, in 11 games?  They are currently tied at 4 with Purdy having played in only two games.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:27
The 49ers have a better offense so I'll say Purdy.

Hi Ray.  Chance both Trubisky and Rudolph are gone after the season?  100% or less?  And what do you think we could get from a trade for Trubisky?  5th round or maybe even a 4th?  Thanks!
Ray Fittipaldo
2:28
Above 90% and maybe a late-round pick.

Ray, why don't the steelers use najee the way SF uses McCaffery,  as a receiver multipurpose way?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:28
Because they're totally different players in totally different offenses.
Jeb
2:28
Hi Ray - Do you think the Steelers on back on top next year or is this a couple year rebuild?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:29
I don't think they'll be back on top of the division, but they could be better than this season. So a multi-year rebuild in terms of getting back to serious contender.

Canada staying for another season seems to be gaining momentum amongst some of the natives.  I get that continuity has value, especially to a young Pickett-  but at some point doesn’t production, numbers and the eye ball test count the most?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:30
Yes.

Think the Steelers would be interested in bringing Ogunjobi back if the money worked out? He's only 28 and has been pretty effective (when healthy, of course).
Ray Fittipaldo
2:31
Yes, if the money is right and the doctors think he can get through another season. He's barely practiced this year because he's constantly banged up.
Joe
2:32
Will the team cut Kendrick Green this offseason?  He doesn’t seem useful.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:32
I think they'll bring him back, but no guarantees he'll be on the 53-man roster next season.

Felt like a home game in Carolina, eh?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:33
And Atlanta.

If Tuitt rekindled his love for the game and looked the part in a tryout/physical-  you think the Brass would take him back?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:33
No.

So, they force fed Dionte the ball and he delivered but then his bone-head penalty... Like Allen, is it moment of emotions/selfish individuals or more so a indictment of the Coach Teflon culture, rearing it's ugly head... again.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:34
Yes, I think culture has something to do with it.

Hey Ray, Merry Christmas. Does the signing of William Jackson lessen the need for a CB or is he not really considered a top tier CB?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:35
It does not. CB is going to be a high priority in the offseason.

When are the coaches/team going to address stupidity---? Three personal fouls vs Panthers, & the M Allen deal was bad enough that by the time I crawled outta bed Monday AM, he shoulda been cut--set an example ----Your thoughts, or do you side with the team, overlook it?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:35
I would have cut him, but I guess I'm from a different generation.
Tom
2:36
i agree with you on the positions of need.  but 3 of the 4 on the defensive side with the highest defensive cap number in the league.   what players with high cap numbers could be casualties?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
I'm not sure there will be, but they can move on from Ahkello Witherspoon without much of a cap hit. And a few others like him.
Joe
2:37
Jaylen Warren seems to be a keeper. Committee seems like a good way to go with these backs. Is the third RB on the roster?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:37
For now, yes. It's Benny Snell, but he's a free agent come March.
GPT
2:37
It would be hard to replace both starting ILBs, but Myles Jack has been pretty uninspiring this season. Will the Steelers eat the $3.25 million dead cap hit and let him go, or do they ride it out for his last season?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:38
I feel like they have to bring back Bush or Jack. And I'm not sure which one they think is better right now.
GPT
2:39
I get that Tomlin doesn't want to have a back and forth with reporters about team discipline, but shouldn't he have just gotten in front of this fiasco by saying he dealt with Allen and it was taken care of? Dismissively saying others won't get their "pound of flesh" from him just contributes to the idea that the locker room is like a romper room and there is no accountability.
