Feilder's best position is guard. He can play tackle and they tried him at center this spring. I think they're trying to make him into the next Chris Hubbard -- a guy who can play anywhere on the line in a pinch.

Last year our Dline was getting blown off the ball by physical teams like the Jags in the run game. With no changes there, are you as concerned as I am about more of the same this year?

Sure it's a concern. I think the ILBs, the OLBs and the DBs had some responsibility with the shoddy run defense too, but your point is well-taken. They have to perform better against the run.

I think they're looking for Burns to take a big step in his development. He's been average for the first two years of his career.

Lock is a strong word. I think they are the favorites for sure, but you never know in the NFL. Steelers lose a few close games and the Ravens win a few close games...

To expect a lot out of Dupree this year is fools gold, he hasn't produced yet but we want him to miraculously start to produce this year. Agree or am I just jaded?

Hey Ray, I listened to you Friday on Mark Madden. You spoke very highly of James Washington. Do you believe he  could be the #3 receiver in week 1? I know that's a tall order but I haven't heard anything negative about him.

They'll be disappointed if he's not the No. 3 receiver in Week 1. They've been up front about that from the time they drafted him. They are counting on him to be ready to play right away.

Right now, I'd say it's looking more and more like this will be Bell's final season with the Steelers.

Isn't it a bit silly to expect Rudolph to be the backup quarterback already? After all, he hasn't even had one practice in pads with the team.

Perhaps, but the story Ed wrote clearly stated the team is not closing the door on the possibility. They like what they see so far.
