Landry Jones has played pretty well. It'd be an upset if that happened, but I'm willing to give Rudolph a shot to show what he has in the preseason games.

It seems like JuJu is having an up and down camp, any concern he slides back a bit this year?  Not sure it's fair, but it seems like he isn't as serious/focused as he could be
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
Maybe his knee is bothering him. That's something to keep an eye on more than his performance, I think.
Jud
2:50
Likely Boswell contract prior to first game, yes?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
I think that's their hope.
Rob Rogers
2:50
Reports are suggesting JuJu blew a couple plays the other day and is out of sync with Ben. Is this a concern, or are things being blown out of proportion for come website clicks?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
I saw what transpired, but I don't want to make too many judgments off one practice. Roethlisberger was not happy, but he hasn't been real happy with the receivers all camp.

How many times have you listened to LeVeon's new album that you definitely bought and love? Kidding.. Any of the young undrafted OLBs looking decent?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
No. 92 Ola Adeniyi isn't bad. He might make the practice squad. He's only 20 years old.
Mike

Have any clue why Jessie James always seems to get put behind Vance. I think he is the more complete and consistent TE. He has better hands and stays healthy.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
He does stay healthy. I give him credit for that. Quite simply, McDonald is the more explosive player and has the ability to do much more damage after he catches the ball. That's why they like him a little more than James. But they like James. He's been a valuable member of the offense for the past two years. There just isn't a lot of upside in the passing game, and he's been just OK as a blocker.

How does the WR pick, Washington look so far in camp?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
I like what I see for the most part. He makes a lot of contested catches, and it doesn't look like they have to worry about conditioning the way they have with some other rookie receivers in recent years.
Goldstar
2:55
Is the consensus that Washington will still be #3 WR game 1?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:55
He'll have to show well in the preseason games, but that's the plan.
Pat
2:55
I know Dupree had been sidelined lately, but do you think he will take a step forward this year?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:55
He better. They're counting on him to do just that.
T. Lazarus Link, aka, The Bishop
2:55
Could Samuels unseat Rosie Nix at FB?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:57
I don't think so. He's been used mostly at running back, not fullback. He might be big enough to perform fullback duties in a pinch, but I don't think they have that in the plans.
Dave in Kalamazoo
2:57
Is Lawrence Timmons still available and if so do you see him as a possible addition to the team?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:57
I don't think that will happen.
Jud
2:58
How are the guys reacting to Bell not being there...and asking for Wii U controller?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:58
The players don't expect Bell to show up to camp. They all understand it's a business.
Jud
2:58
Can we get anything from Dobbs at this point?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:58
Doubt it unless he plays really, really well in the preseason.

For a minor quad injury, it seems that AB has been gone awhile. Also, seems strange that they sent him away from St. V’s for a minor muscular issue. Could it be the dreaded “Madden curse” rearing its head and there is more than Coach Tomlin is letting on?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:00
I don't know, but he did cancel a public appearance at Children's Hospital today. Something doesn't seem right about the whole thing, but all we can go by is what Tomlin says and he's been saying it's minor.
Jerome

Great chat as always, Ray. Please tell me they are revolutionizing defense with 3 safety looks, because as it is with Vince Williams and Matekevitch there is no way they get past the wild card round
Ray Fittipaldo
3:01
We've only seen it here and there. Hopefully, we'll get to see how it looks in the preseason games against other teams. That will be more telling than what takes place in practice.
Andrew
3:01
Since there is so much depth now at safety, do you see them running the nickle and dime even more than last year with the hope the d line can stop the run better than last year?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:01
I think you're onto something. Certainly in third-and-long type situations.
Ben Richards
3:02
How much more will Conner be involved in the offense this year?  I know everyone wants to run the wheels off of Bell before he leaves, but isn't it just as important to figure out the future of the position?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:02
They need to figure that out now while Bell isn't around. Once Bell arrives they're going to pay him $14.5 million. They're going to get as much as they can out of him.
Rocket Man
3:03
How has Ola Adeniyi looked so far?  Chance to make the team?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:03
Practice squad more likely but right now all he has to do is beat out Keion Adams. I'd say Adams has the edge because he spent last year on IR and knows the system. But he has a lot to prove as well.
Novarro Bowman
3:04
#1 position still needing an upgrade or depth?   ILB i would assume?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:04
Maybe OLB and OT, too when it comes to depth.
Big Ed
3:04
Do you expect Roudolph to play a lot Thursday night?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:06
Tomlin will probably tell us tomorrow at his news conference.

Ray, are you all driving or Flying to Philly this week?
