Only heard about the game, but maybe we've all underestimated the Ravens, especially their defense. But you know the Bengals aren't exactly the 1999 Rams, either so let's see how the Ravens do going forward.

Can you explain the Steelers decision to bring back Steven Johnson and then cut him again before game day? What is the point of keeping him around for less than a week?

I thought jesse james was a solid way before this game and his performance is what we need at tightend a solid guy who catches 5-10 yard passes thats who heath was a security blanket. so i dont know why everyone wanted a flashy tightend.

Mike Tomlin said he wasn't "consistently varsity enough." James didn't look like a jayvee player yesterday. Maybe it motivated him.

Good day Sir. How did Chickillo look as a starting LB? Say 2 sacks on the stat line but not sure how his play was throughout the game since I couldn't watch.

Not sure. Pretty sure he's most effective when he runs deep though, and I didn't see much of that. What I did see were a lot of ineffective sideways passes.

Thanks for the chat Ray.  Can a player playing under the franchise tag be traded?  Not asking because of Bell's sup par performance.  I'm asking because if no long term deal can be reached, I would rather trade him and get something rather than nothing.

Sometimes it seems to take an entire half to figure out the opponents defense. Was the inability by the offense to move the ball a function of the play calling or execution?

What do you believe the reason for the O line's trouble in the run game?  Looked odd.

They came out passing and never established the running game. Running the football is a mindset. You have to work at it, wear a defense down. The Steelers never tried to establish the running game, and it cost them.

I know Dupree is the athletic freak and I'm excited to see him this season but any chance Chickillo is actually the "real deal?" What he's done in only his third season now playing the position has been impressive.

I don't know if they view him as starter material, but he's a pretty darn good backup. He played like a starter yesterday.

With the Steelers signing Tuitt to the long-term extension on Saturday, does that impact their ability to fit LeVeon Bell under next year's cap at all?  Does this signing tip their hand at all?  Or, are they still able to "dangle the carrot" and keep Bell believing there is still the potential for him to be here long-term?

I don't think so If they want to sign Bell after the season they'll find a way to get it done.

I think it's fair to say Greg Williams' defense outplayed the Steelers offense. But the Steelers won the game. They made some timely plays when they had to.

What was your take on the unnecessary roughness penalty on W. Gay? I agree with the penalty, by it seemed as if the flag was thrown after the refs viewed the play on the scoreboard. I didn't think refs were allowed to make calls based on replays.

They need to pick up or trade for a DE if Tuitt is out for the year. They don't have the depth with what they have.

They signed Tyson Alualu for that very reason. He was a longtime starter in Jacksonville.

Safe to say that Jesse James is now TE1? I'm not sure why Tomlin, thinks he isn't varsity level. I think he's been more than serviceable. He may never be Heath Miller, but I think he's more than an adequate player.

I feel like the Browns are being underrated this year. I don't think they're a .500 team, but I think they'll win three or four games and won't be the worst team in the league by a long shot. Agree?
