As long as you meet two or more of the eligibility criteria on the Access to Leeds scheme then we would encourage any one who thinks they are eligible to apply and submit an application.  The A2L team will look at it and check each application individually then so everyone's circumstances are considered.

Okay thanks
In terms of like the reduced offers to leeds uni is it true you only get those reduced offers if studying at leeds is your first option ?
AvatarMeghan Clamp
4:44
you have to successfully pass the A2L module and make Leeds your firm choice on UCAS to get the 2 grade reduced offer
Helen
4:45
Oh okay thank you :)
Alex

How far along with EPQ are we expected to be for the sessions?
AvatarCara Wheeldon
4:49
Different schools launch their EPQ programmes at different times so  don't worry if you've only just got started!
Adrian

Does higher participation in RfE make it more likely for you to get an offer in the first place?
AvatarMeghan Clamp
4:49
no offers are guaranteed I'm afraid, but students on rfe are much better prepared for submitting applications through our support and have built a rapport with the university and the staff that other students not on the programme haven't been able to do. certain courses now also have special consideration for progressing rfe students to interview, but again nothing is guaranteed.

For like med and dent does the amount of students in the course per year vary on how many applicants there are or is there a fixed number that get accepted ?
AvatarJames Leslie
4:49
We do have fixed numbers for admission onto our programmes :) it was around 240 for Medicine and 70 for Dentistry last year
Helen
4:55
would you say that those who complete access to leeds stand a good chance of gaining a spot onto those courses for eg dentistry or do you think it’s quite equal between them and normal applicants?
AvatarJennifer Mchale
4:56
all applications are considered equally based on the entry requirements and taking into account, GCSE grades, A level predicted grades, the UCAS application and the UCAt Score
Adrian
4:55
For the library document for access to it, if your school can go by two names, does it matter which one is used?
AvatarMeghan Clamp
4:55
I would pop both on there :)
Helen
4:56
Also for the part where you said 70 applicants got accepted for dentistry out of interest are you aware of how many people had applied ?
AvatarJames Leslie
4:56
2,202 :)
Adrian
4:57
Does EPQ also reduce your offer? If so, does it stack with A2L?
AvatarCara Wheeldon
4:59
Have a look at the entry requirements for the course you are interested in https://courses.leeds.ac.uk/ . If you have further questions contact the admissions team for further assistance
Adrian
4:57
What typical super curriculars do you look for in a student applying generally for a humanities course?
AvatarCara Wheeldon
5:01
With extra curricular activities make sure you enjoy it, perhaps there's a  book club you could join or a school newspaper
Helen
4:57
