Tatis has a no-trade, which is probably the biggest reason he won't be traded. He'll also be in his prime for at least 6 of the 9 seasons he's under contract. That return is probably not enough. Plus, there is one main reason that the Padres can sell out a Tuesday night game against the Rockies. And that's Tatis. Even the dumbest billionaire -- and we have a lot of really dumb billionaires -- understands the importance of how much value Tatis brings to the franchise.
