Reese McGuire or Logan Porter this week? Boston seems to have a better looking schedule
Brent Hershey
12:50
Yeah, McGuire

Drop Josh Bell or Drury? Need BA and RBI
Brent Hershey
12:50
Eh, I'd hang onto Bell; some good things seem to be happening in MIA. At the other end of the spectrum, you have LAA

In need of ratio help this week - based on opponents would you rather Fujinami, Kevin Kelly, Caleb Thielbar, Ian Hamilton, Sam Hentages?
Brent Hershey
12:51
Hentges has quietly had a dominant 2H. Him first, then Kelly

Hi Brent. I need to make room to activate Soler from the IL. Candidates to cut are Yelich (day-to-day and missed 7 of the last 8 games), Ketel Marte (only 5 games this week), and Pham (same). Who goes? I’m leaning Yelich but I’d be giving up a lot of upside if he’s healthy. I just don’t think he is. Thanks!
Brent Hershey

Would agree ... MIL likely to baby Yelich a bit here in hopes that he's recovered (or better) for the MLB playoffs. He probably gets the least number of AB ROS of that trio

Hi Brent!  Thanks for these chats! You've helped get me into the Championships of my 12 team mixed HtH points league.  Waiver wire closed, so gotta the hand I got.  Erod vs LAD and Means vs HOU - both net me 3 starts in the two week period so I can skip one safely, but two is chancy as we are pretty evenly matched in available starts (before playoff teams start resting their stars).  Which one sits, or would you sit both and go a start short vs my opponent based on both being equally risky?
Brent Hershey
12:55
Congrats! I'd sit Means; start-to-start peformance can just be erratic coming off TJS and E-Rod has been good. Good luck!

Who, if any, of Colin Holderman, Carmen Mlodzinski, or Andrew Nardi is likely to have some NL-only value next year?
Brent Hershey
12:56
Think all three COULD ... right now I'd lean Nardi just given how great the year has been. Seems like his role could be the most prominent of the three.

With no catcher eligibility next season for players like Henry David and MJ Meledenz, do they lose a lot of their value? Or is there enough of a chance that they get catching games next season?
Brent Hershey
12:59
MJM -- I don't think he gets CA eligibility again; the way they've used him this year. Hurts his value some, but I still see some upside overall as an OFer.
Davis -- too early to tell, value-wise. PIT reportedly liked a lot of his defensive value at CA, but for this season have anointed Endy as the CA of the future. Could be that PIT just wants to develop his bat and keep him in the OF. So, still TBD -- but of the 2, I like Davis' chances better of getting some time behind the dish.

Injury alert?! Uh oh tight race and Fried start pushed to this weekend - if he starts. Too risky, replacement options Brash, Merryweather, Lorenzen, Funderburk. Thanks!
Brent Hershey

Given that it's WAS over the weekend, I might take my chances on just keeping him in there ... but if you feel you must take him out, I'd recco Brash first, then Merryweather

Hi Brent, last two weeks! NL-only, needs SV/HLDs, have to stay ahead of another team, who gets more Saves/Holds, Mlodzinski, Nardi or Trevor Megill?? Thanks for such a great season!
Brent Hershey
1:03
I'd lean Nardi first, then Megill ... sight preference to relievers on playoff contending teams.

Thanks much to all ... we'll be back for a final week of this next Monday. And I could have said this to just about everyone, but GOOD LUCK here in the homestretch, whether you're fighting for a 2023 title or setting one up for 2024! Fun times ... catch ya next week!
