It’s only the first quarter. Wouldn’t it be so funny if the Steelers came back and won? The city of Cleveland would blowup.

I've never seen anything like this.
8:56
Eric Ebron with a drop just to check off everything on your bingo card.
8:57
Ebron redeems himself with a catch-and-run for a first down as we near the final play of the first quarter. Wait, it's still the first quarter??
Jelly Belly

Guess the only thing to hope for now is to keep the sack streak alive.
Brian Batko

Browns might not need to throw the rest of the game.
End of 1: Browns 28, Steelers 0. If you're just tuning in, and goodness I hope not, the Steelers spotted Cleveland a touchdown with a bad snap and fumble recovery on the first play from scrimmage. It's been all downhill from there.

I believe we can still win.

Can we impeach Tomlin ben Pouncey al DeCastro

We got em right where we want them. Remember, we are playing the Browns... have faith!

I’m surprised the browns didn’t score again during the commercial break.

Jelly Belly: Alas, the sack streak is just regular-season games, not the playoffs.
Buster
9:03
That was probably the worst quarter of football in Steelers history
Brian Batko
9:03
Has to be.
9:04
Don't look now but the Steelers offense has life. They're into Browns territory and have a first down at the 39.

What possible justification can Rooney devise for allowing Tomlin to remain the coach after this?  I don’t want to hear Tomlin didn’t throw the picks or make a bad snap.  This team is prepared and listless and clearly did not think they could lose.  And that’s on Tomlin
Brian Batko

I jinxed it, I guess. Steelers punt on fourth-and-8. That was almost a positive possession.
Patrick B

A high snap to Berry. Can anyone snap the ball tonight?
Pull My Fichtner
9:07
Why punt?
Baltimore Jack
9:07
Great punt!  Moral victory.
Brian Batko

Tomlin playing the long game.

Company line, Brian.  There is no long game to be played in this instance.  They didn't spot any team 28 points this year and come back.
George

At least there haven't been any controversial replays slowing down the telecast.

Long Game as in playing for draft picks?
Brian Batko
9:09
It's just everything else about this game moving slow.

What's average starting position for the browns?
Brian Batko
9:10
Browns 46
9:14
Steelers will now start at their 46, not bad field position, and they better get something going. Soon. But Ben is just 8 of 15 for 61 yards and two picks.
Tony

You rest your starters to produce this?

Let's get at least  3.

If we cut it to 28-14 at half we'll be mirroring the Jacksonville playoff game a few years ago
Joe

Ben needs to retire—preferably at halftime
John

Losing a playoff game if you've given all you have is one thing. But losing one when you phone it in is another.
Mike
9:14
I can't believe Tomlin can have his job after this.
Brian Batko
9:16
Another interception? Off a batted Ben pass?
John
9:17
Rudolph in the first half?
Weak Link

Rudolph time

Rudolph! Now!

For the "Fire Tomlin" folks out there. Just some food for though: Can Mike Tomlin snap the ball for Maurkice Pouncey? Can he make the decisions in the pocket for Ben Roethlisberger? I'm not saying this won't go down as one of his very worst coaching performances, but hey, this one is on the players just as much, if not more.

Team comes out flat six weeks straight.  Yes, that's on coaching.
