Can’t blame Tomlin for this. This team should have been scrapped a couple years ago. It’s old and tired. Ben looks like someone’s grandfather back there play backyard football.

Tomlin not the one throwing 3 picks

Can Tomlin prepare this team to play a meaningful game?  Not in the past ten years he hasn't.  Keep up with that company line.
Patrick B

Tomlin sat Pouncey and Ben last week. That is coming back to bite us.
Bye Ben
9:20
Tomlin would have a job before midnite
The Wiz

Tomlin-He can shut Ju JU up before the game, and prepare a team to win
Brian Batko
9:20
Oh, please. JuJu's probably better moments, for sure, but that's not having much of an impact on this game.

Team thought all they had to do was show up and forgot about playing
Zamo

im sorry BB but his message is now stale.  They NEVER come out looking good.  That’s on him.

Brian stop the Bull Crap it is like this every playoff with Tomlin. No other team this weekend played like this.
One-and-Done

And there will be fans out there insisting that Ben return next year...seriously!
FanInSC
9:22
Yes Brian, but there is a systemic repeat of the same  embarassing performances again and again and again.

Come on Brian... what will it take to get a fresh outlook. I know Tomlin doesn't do the mechanics of the game, but he has be inept many times... game mgmt, challenges.. Steelers will NEVER go to a SB again with Tomlin, ever.
Ted

Not sure what and when it happened but Ben has played with a I’m afraid to get hit for at least the last couple of months and it is obvious in his decision making on when to throw
Eric
9:23
Hey Brian, why is Ben still in the game?????
Brian Batko
9:23
Hey Eric, because Mike Tomlin wants him to be.
9:25
From the archives: in a 1992 wild card game, the Oilers led the Bills, 28-3, at half and eventually 35-3. The Bills won 41-38 in overtime in what's often considered the best comeback in NFL history. So I'm SAYIN' there's a chance.

But this could be a repeat of the 2002 Wildcard right?
Brian Batko
9:29
Even that was only a 17-point hole.
9:31
Don't look now but the Steelers are inside the 10. I repeat, this is not a drill, the Steelers are at the Browns 7.
steelergal
9:31
They seem to be doing what they did earlier in season, short dink and dunk passes... I'll take it if it works
Bye Ben

Brady brought his team back down 20 some points in the Super Bowl
Brian Batko
9:31
Even THAT was 28-3!
9:32
And now, the type of situation we've been wondering about for months: Can the Steelers convert a fourth-and-1 in a playoff game? The part about it being a 28-nothing game at the two-minute warning, well I didn't see that one coming.

A TD here could flip momentum

Please tell me they can get one yard and not go for a FG.

Perfect time to for a QB sneak and nope
Sunner in Orlando

Should’ve let the two minute warning come before that play. That was too important of a player to throw it away like that. Now it’s fourth down and they’re going to staff us.
Nick
9:33
Are they going to give it to Derek Watt to run now?
Jerry
9:33
Rush the play for that.

In Tomlin's defense, it is obvious he has a QB who can barely function. There is absolutely no variation in their offensive play calling. And no real threat of the deep ball.

Touchdown, Steelers. No shutout. James Conner after picking up the fourth-and-1, barely, gets in for the score.
Another bad snap by Pouncey though, this one low.

Put in JC.  Put in Dotson

and the crowd goes wild....

At least Chris Boswell is healthy and made the XP. Browns 28, Steelers 7 with 1:44 left in the half.
The comeback is on, right?

Browns keep passing. Not smart.

1992 Bills QB was Jim Kelly, no comparison between 2020 Ben and 1992 Jim
