Good question. I'd say the Steelers will want to wrap this up today just to move forward with their offseason plans but they now have some degree of leverage by waiting. And we saw last year how much they like a good bargain basement deal at QB!

Because there also aren't many landing spots left. Who are they bidding against for the services of Rodgers/Russ, the Giants? Omar Khan has shown he can be very patient when he wants to not overpay for someone.

Do odds go up on a drafting a Howard typo who is high floor type QB, who could probably muddle through if thrown into the lineup.

I would say yeah and hope you hit on him. But the non-Round 1 QB success stories are pretty few and far between. Even Jalen Hurts was a second-rounder. Get into the third and beyond and it gets very unlikely.

The Steelers seem to still have a ton of cap room. What positions do you see them spending it on? I figured CB and potentially DL. But looks like CB is out now.

Like it or not, they're gonna have to spend some on the QB. More than one QB, actually. And it might make sense to not defer too much of that salary so that you can take another swing at this thing next year.
