Well, Donte Jackson is active and Pierre will serve as the No. 3 CB. And I imagine with King Henry, they wanted a bigger body like Loudermilk active rather than an extra OLB.

Did Matt Canada hack his way back into the coordinators box?  I thought A. Smith was supposed to be a good coordinator but this offense is no better then last year and we are supposed to have a way better QB.  Or is Tomlin handcuffing him into low risk plays that do nothing but lose games.

I wouldn't say handcuffing, but they work together on the game plan early in the week. Tomlin OKs it and they go from there.

Certainly if the wind is consistent it's going to affect the deep passing game. Right now, 72 minutes before kickoff, it doesn't seem terribly windy, but that could change.

Brian: great piece on the rookie class.  Will not taking Mitchell or Thomas end up being a franchise killer for years?  Did we declare victory on the Khan artist as a draft guru way too soon?  Jones is a bust.  Benton is mediocre.

Can't suit up everyone. Personally, I probably would've chosen defensive depth over MyCole Pruitt in this game, but he did catch a touchdown pass in the last matchup here.
