Seems to me a receiver gets drafted in the third round must have some idea what details matter in being considered as a good receiver.  Was not being detailed a problem with him in college.
Brian Batko
7:30
He was the leading receiver for a national championship winning team, so...

I just down see how the Steelers can win this one. Unless they score on defense or special teams. They have nowhere to go with the football on offense. Hope you can give me some positive outlook!
Brian Batko

I think the formula looks something like this: ripping off big gains on the ground, finding Jonnu Smith and Pat Freiermuth over the middle, and perhaps the occasional downfield throw to Adam Thielen or Calvin Austin.

If the Steelers win tonight and get one playoff win I think we all have to say they are trending in the right direction and adding young WRs in the draft would really make a difference. The youth movement would be running strong.
Brian Batko

Agreed, Lou. I came into this season saying if they won a playoff game finally, I'd consider it a success. So I won't be a hypocrite now.

Is next year’s QB on this team?
Brian Batko
7:39
That's a bit of a loaded question. How about we ask it this way: Is next year's Week 1 starter on this team? I'll say yes!
rman
7:44
Gainwell's catch was #1 on Red Zone's top 5 plays of the year.
Ray Fittipaldo
7:44
It was a tremendous catch. And it sparked the team.

Is Dylan Cook the find of the year?  And beyond Roman Wilson it seems like lack of use of 88 would be biggest disappointment in my books.  Your picks for both?
Ray Fittipaldo
7:46
Yes on Cook. I'm not disappointed in Freiermuth because I think he could be useful if they used him. How about disappointed in 88's usage? I'll go with that.
Brian Batko

Steelers going through warmups with their "starters" and that includes James Pierre at outside cornerback opposite Joey Porter Jr., so not Asante Samuel Jr. Also, MVS and Adam Thielen the first WRs up.

How does attendance look?   Are there very many Ravens fans there?
Ray Fittipaldo
7:53
I'm sure it will be full by kickoff, and I see some purple among the black and gold.

I am tired of hearing about King Henry,  I call he turns it over twice tonight!

Has Broderick been around the facility since his injury?  I think Max Starks had same type of surgery and recovery time was nearly a year.  What are you hearing about his prognosis?
Ray Fittipaldo
7:56
Jones has been at the facility. And yes, anytime you are dealing with a neck injury there is a bit of an unknown. I don't think we'll know for sure on a timeline until the spring at the earliest.

I’m more concerned about Steelers offense not doing much than I am the defense. Henry is gonna get something for them. But what can we counter with?
Ray Fittipaldo
7:57
Warren and Gainwell and Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith. I'd go heavy on touches with those four.
Robert Layne

I live North of Baltimore and the Ravens have sent many busses to the game. I don’t think the Steelers can win it but the Ravens can lose it!

I hope it's ALL Steelers ALL night. It would be enjoyable and relaxing.

I’m concerned with the Ravens D shutting our running hame down again tonight. Do you feel AS will actually utilize our TEs tonight, of will it be a game of consistent three snd outs for our offense?
Ray Fittipaldo
8:01
Just passing along from Thursday's interview with Arthur Smith... he came out and said the Steelers didn't really try to run in the first game in Baltimore. Doesn't mean they'll have success tonight, but I do think they'll be more committed to it.

Fair to say the Steelers didn’t really try to stop the run either, Ray
Ray Fittipaldo

Well, they did try...

Hey Mongoose! Who do you like in the Ravens-Texans matchup next week?
Brian Batko

The Mongoose never gets ahead of itself

I don’t see how this defense can stop the king Henry. I predict he’ll have 100 yards by half time.

Ray:  I haven't kept good "records" of these abysmal Tomlin losses, but anecdotally it seems like they hold out a lot of key players in those games and then after losing those players are full go on Wednesday at practice.  This certainly happened last week.  Is this just Tomlin's arrogance haunting us.  They also famously were going to hold Ben out of that Raiders game in 2018, but had to put him back in although the Raiders still came back.   That 2018 team would have been dangerous in the playoffs (they beat the eventual SB champ Pats that year) and that horrendous loss kept them out.

I just don’t see how the Steelers can win unless they score on defense or special teams. They have absolutely no where to go with the football on offense. Your thoughts?

Just an observation: You say someone may "have to fall on his sword" if there's a loss tonight. Those Muuth "explanations" sound like Art's sword to me.

Oh it is just Rodgers decision
Raxman

I think WR# 1's and WR#2's are harder to come by than we think.
Has this been a lost season for Kaleb Johnson?
IL Steel

Is this the game where we finally find out why Rodgers is standing there on the Tush Push?

I think if the Ravens just do what they do best and feed the ball to Henry, they will win

The winner of this game get the Texans next week?  Ouch
