If the Cardinals could find a way to do that, the RPI would probably find a way to make the tournament. This is yet another example where I think the DSR is supreme. The RPI has Louisville at 77, where as the DSR has the Cards at 39.

Who are two-three mid majors you could see get hot down the stretch and push for a host spot?

DBU, UCSB, UCI, USD come to mind to me .... Nebraska and Coastal Carolina still need to be discussed. Nebraska and Coastal aren't really classic mid-majors, but you get the point.

If ASU can 'finish strong' with their remaining schedule (a sweep vs USC would've helped), is there any scenario where they can play themselves into tourney consideration? Apart from winning the PAC12 tourney?

ASU has an RPI of 89 and is seventh in the Pac-12 right now. Yes, I think the Sun Devils would definitely need to win the Pac-12 tournament.

Interesting ups and downs in Cal, what do you see from them?  What is their path to making the tournament after losing to Stanford this past weekend?

They are definitely inconsistent, but when Cal is on, it looks REALLY good. The Golden Bears are suddenly back to being tied for seventh in the Pac-12, and finish @USC and Washington at home. Win those two series and I think Cal squeaks into the field of 64 even with a current RPI around 60.

Any chance Bama could steal the series at State this weekend? Farone and Adams have been really good last few weeks, which feels like it gives them a puncher's chance.

They absolutely could. Alabama has a very solid lineup top to bottom and Farone impressed me a couple of weeks ago in the game I watched. I thought he looked more physical than last year, and the stuff was pretty firm as well. If Alabama pitches at a decent level in StarkVegas, it will have a solid chacne to win that series, imo.
