I think people think we're more confident in these than we are. We try to put together a scenario that makes sense, but one guy signing somewhere else throws it all to hell. It's fun but of course we know we're not going to get most of them right

Someone at a position where not a ton of clubs are looking for help. There are a finite number of teams needing help at catcher, for instance. Second base is probably the biggest spot where this could happen.

I could see Nelson Cruz getting into a bad place, because there only a few teams that can fit him in. But he's also one of the better hitters, so I dunno.

We published after he signed. He was at #33 I think. I do like the signing, we had said one year, $9MM I believe.

Out of LF here, but... what about the Astros signing Harper? Other than Verlander (FA after next season), they don't have any major contracts until Altuve's extension pay outs hit after next season. As of now, their projected payroll for next year is around $100M. They could move Reddick to DH, opening up corner spots for both Springer and Harper. Or trade Reddick for an arm if they wish to bring Tucker up as well.

I always hate when good players are shed only in the name of payroll. Both players are good values at their salaries. But I do agree Roark is more likely to go.

Eaton only gets moved if they've already signed Bryce or have an agreement basically in place to do so.

Can't trade Eaton on like Nov. 20 because you think/hope you can keep Bryce then watch him sign elsewhere.
