The problem I have with the predictions is the Mets not signing any of the top free agents pitchers. I see they were assigned Morton but have to think they will sign one of the top 3-4 starting pitchers with 3 holes in there rotation.

For reasons stated earlier, I mostly think Stroman leaves.  I had Gausman there until he got the QO.  I didn't want to put out a list where they get both Realmuto and Bauer.  So, could the Mets sign any of these dudes ranked above Morton?  Absolutely.

What is Kris Bryant's trade value?

I'm hoping to do a post looking at potential fits, but I think his trade value is very minimal.  The number of teams looking to take on a $20MM player for one year coming off a bad season is pretty small, even if he was excellent as recently as 2019.

Why are there so many players in baseball (sports in general), that have one good season and then are predicted to get 30 million dollars a year? Look at Trevor Rosenthal for example, he used to be terrific, had a huge step-back for a year, has a terrific short season, and now his name is thrown in with Hendriks and Hand? I think that's outrageous. Good reliever, but not that level.

We actually backed off Rosenthal quite a bit.  Pre-pandemic, MLB teams have clearly shown that they will throw around money based on one good season.  See Drew Pomeranz, Mike Minor, etc.

I dissagree with Ozuna's so called shabby OF work this year. I watched every Braves game and he played a very passable LF. In fact he played it better some of the regular Left Fielders in both leagues!

That may be so.  He mostly gets static over his arm, so for him to play an acceptable LF for one year is reasonable enough.

Why would the Jays give Odorizzi that much money and let Walker walk for much less? Walker seems like a perfect fit it TO.

I think Odorizzi is a much more reliable pitcher, even with Walker having the better 2020.  Aside from his ERA and prospect pedigree, we actually don't see that much we like in his profile.

Do I get a ticket out of Hollywood if the Dodgers do acquire Bauer?

It'd make sense to shop him, but I doubt he'd be a popular addition.

Why do you think that Colome will come so cheap given his extreme reliability in closing out games the last 2 years?

Just really fluky numbers in 22 innings...nothing special on K/BB, had a .200 BABIP and a 0% HR/flyball that won't be repeated.  I don't think teams will be overly excited about him.
That's it for me today!  Thanks for chatting everyone.
