With the caveat that I have not always followed every turn of their stadium drama, I will bet against the A's ending up in Vegas. Seems like the situation will be resolved soon and I'm not sure there's an appetite to build an MLB stadium there with public money, as happened with the Raiders. In that regard, there may yet be a better market.

Yes, I'd say Rogers is probably the best reliever left on the FA market. But Romano-Swanson is a strong back end of the bullpen.

With Devers, I have no idea what's in his head or how far the Red Sox will go in their offer. And sometimes different agencies push for different things, I think. Continuing with the betting theme, my bet is that Devers leaves via free agency.

Other two goals are certainly reasonable, especially since you didn't specify quality. They could add, like, Jean Segura and Corey Kluber.

Benny's contract would have seemed high if you told me in November before I saw what others signed for. But at the time it happened with the new info incorporated, I found it within reason in this market. Not saying it was a good deal, just not outlandish.

The Astros did a couple of November deals for Abreu and Montero that made me think anything was possible, as they stretched to three years for Abreu and gave Raffy 11.5 mil/year. But, the subsequent market did make those deals look less crazy. The Brantley price was fair by any measure.

You've got Jim Crane doing his mini-Steinbrenner thing - anything is possible. But he has chilled out since those first two deals. I can certainly come up with reasons not to sign Benny to a 5/75 deal, so I guess he listened to those from someone. Hopefully Jeff Bagwell

I do expect a 1B and catcher, but neither figures to be an exciting name. Figure Dansby is announced this week. They just announced Taillon today so maybe let that breathe for a day or two, I dunno.

I'd trade for Jansen, but that's kinda hard to say without knowing the price. Seems like they'll sign a Barnhart type and call it a day and punt offense at the spot.

Since the Cubs might also punt offense at CF, and don't have an established 1B/3B/DH (typically easier spots to find a 120 wRC+ bat), it's difficult to get excited about their lineup at present.

Is it just me, or should the Dodgers go all-in with an offer for both Bryan Reynolds and David Bednar? Would cost a lot in prospects but not in dollars which lets them still go after Ohtani if that’s really their plan for next winter. Pirates could go close to the majors guys like Vargas, Busch, Outman, and Pepiot as the finishing touches on their rebuild.

I don't see that as their style, trading the farm like that. The Dodgers are really good at player development.
