Is Texas still considering trading Gray or Leody to get money for relief pitchers to not go over luxury tax.
Steve Adams

I doubt they've closed the door on either of those scenarios

Solano's deal with the M's is for $3.5MM, per Robert Murray of Fansided. Another one million available in incentives.
Crazy?

Bold prediction:  if the Mets sign Alonso or otherwise don’t materialize as Bergman’s destination, Bregman will be a Cub in 2025, with a 2b (Shaw or Hoerner) traded.  Am I nuts?

I don't think it's crazy to suggest, no. It's not my personal expectation, but the Cubs are like $40MM under last year's payroll and nowhere near the luxury tax, so they can fit him on the payroll. Just a matter of whether they feel he's an upgrade over Hoerner and whether they could find a return for Shaw/Hoerner that makes their 2025 chances better.

Witt and Nado on the left side in KC would look pretty good, how much should we buy into him possibly opening up to additional teams beside Boston at this point?

Would look good defensively. I might worry about Arenado's bat at Kauffman even  more than at Busch. Also not sure Kansas City has that much money left to spend, but as an enjoyer of baseball chaos I am all for this. Bring it onl.

Alright, I've got to get ready to go pick up my kiddos from daycare. I'm on X @Adams_Steve and on Bluesky @adams-steve.bsky.social. You can always ask me more questions at either spot.
