It was best for both the Yanks and Frazier to part ways. He's blocked here and needs a real opportunity. If he's great for the Cubs, so be it, and good for him.

The Yankees have been good at developing relievers recently and there are several in AAA (Marinaccio, Ridings, Boyle, etc.)  Will the Yankees use these low cost guys in the bullpen going forward instead of spending more than other teams on their bullpen?

As long as they are churning out guys who throw 100 with a wipeout slider, yeah, I think we'll see them do more of that.
It doesn't make sense to spend 40M on a bullpen if you're going to be beholden to the luxury tax (assuming the threshold doesn't change much).
