Walker has talked about how he is not comfortable being put in as a reliever.
Chamaco
10:39
Instead of bashing Cash, maybe we should give some credit to Mookie for the double and great base running?
Eel Ffilc
10:39
Snell gave up one run, two hits, no walks, nine strikeouts. But the guy who had given up a run in six straight appearances was the right call
Antonio Lobo
10:39
IMO, if you didn't score 4 runs, you can't blame anyone but the hitters (or the opposing pitching and defense)
Man Robfred

Oh I agree Tony and Paul.  I just think we would be getting plenty of hindsight looking as well.
Adam
10:39
Seems like picking Anderson should be the big second guess topic rather than pulling Snell?
Captain Obvious
10:39
Does the K% for all pitchers (on average) go down in the postseason? presumably due to facing better competition...
Tony Wolfe
10:40
I don't think so? I don't have the numbers in front of me but plenty of postseason teams have high K% as a lineup
like the rays!

Urias sighting!
Dave
10:40
I agree with Adam that Anderson is a more questionable call than pulling Snell
Roach
10:40
@Captain Obvious It can go down, but down to 15%? At that point you're pitching to contact and nothing in Nick Anderson's profile indicates he's a guy who relies on weak contact.

7 more outs (yes I will be doing a countdown)
Paul Sporer
10:41
I'd imagine it goes up as batters are facing better pitchers constantly
K%: 25% regular season, 28% playoffs
Dave Roberts

Urias gets the last two if Graterol (et al) gets through this?

10:41
Zunino is due.
Tony Wolfe
10:41
I definitely think we see Treinen over Urias in the ninth
Paul Sporer
10:42
Way overdue
Graterol

There's still time for Arozarena to make his manager look less foolish.

This is Graterol's seventh pitch. Time to pull him.

Zunino is now slightly less due.

that was a meatball

Look at that, zunino was due

The Dodgers have just been through Heaven and Snell.
Kevin
10:43
Maybe the Rays can put in proven clutch hitter Brett Phillips
Game 7
10:43
Who is left in the pen for LAD? Trienen, May, Graterol I guess to finish this?
Paul Sporer
10:43
And Urias
Remaerdbob
10:43
Damn the moderators for not posting my comment that he was due for a single!

can Graterol go 2 IP here?
Paul Sporer
10:44
No

Treinen is definitely getting the call in the 9th.

Blake Snell did THAT to one of the greatest offenses ever assembled. And he got yanked in the 6th, 2 over the minimum?
Derek
10:44
Urias here feels weird. Like a new age version of what Roberts has done with Kershaw in the past - forcing him in when there are fine options in the bullpen already
Jeremy
10:45
How much should the Rays care if their approach pisses off Snell? I mean, unless Snell quits on them to force a trade, I guess they can just not care what he thinks, because it's not as if they were going to resign him once he hits free agency anyway?
