It seems like Seager's been working on a shampoo endorsement this whole postseason

Not too many complaints that I've noticed.

Please no Kershaw

Seager hair is very Steve Herrington from Stranger Things right now

Dave Roberts has forgotten about McGee as well, so you'll forgive us if we do.

Analytics certainly have their place but the fact that they dominate, at the complete disregard for what is actually happening on the field, is what sends me into hysterics.

Two managers both rely on analytics, and one of them loses. Analytics must be to blame.

ON Dodgers radio feed, Rick Monday mentioned Kershaw is in the bullpen. There was SILENCE. Even they know. Just can't say it.

*from a Statcast and/or Fox Sports overlay the zone has been inconsistent. You're right that neither team has had an issue with it.

@Remaerdbob For one, Will Smith's catching is....not great. Someone on Reddit posted that Austin Barne's catcher ERA is ~3 while Will Smith's is ~7.

But that's not analytics...that's just bad management

I want this game to go 15 innings, with Kershaw getting the save after Kenley blows it on a fielding error in the 13th and Mookie finally hits a bomb to break the gridlock
AvatarDavid Laurila
11:08
And why not?

Remember when Buck Showalter forgot about Zach Britton?
Paul Sporer
11:08
That was so rough
AvatarDavid Laurila

Buck regrets that.

Over the air is 8 seconds ahead of the radio stream if that helps

Solak for Fairbanks is an interesting trade I didn't give enough attention to
Paul Sporer
11:09
I gave it some love but more bc I loved Solak. I assumed the Rays weren't ripped off bc they almost never are, but I didn't give Fairbanks a ton of attention
Tony Wolfe
11:09
if I were the Rays I would simply score more than one run in an elimination game in the World Series

Randy can only do so much
Remaerdbob
11:10
Pretty sure I saw a Fangraphs article in the past that concluded that, even when a pitcher is dominating, it's generally better to go to the bullpen for the third time through the order.
Paul Sporer
11:10
I mean, just bc I work here doesn't I mean blindly agree w/everything written. I'd have left Snell in and don't agree w/taking him out.

If Randy goes yard, does Cash get let off the hook regardless of outcome?
AvatarDavid Laurila
11:10
Cash should be off the hook if the final is 2-1. Hindsight is 20/20 he went with what's worked (and it's not 100% his decision).
AdamZ
11:10
The analytics say the Rays need to score more.
Paul Sporer
11:10
As Tony has suggested, though, scoring more than 1 run is pretty necessary to expecting to win a game, too

Rios in at 3rd is a headscratcher

The absolute power move of saving jake mcgee for the 9th of the clinching game
AdamZ

Wasn't he Zack Britton back then?
Paul Sporer
11:11
No he was Zach. He's Zack now
