Bring comfortable clothes that you can move and act in, but no costumes needed!
helena gouveia

For the acting summer program, are there any specific clothing we should bring?
Meg Palladino
12:00
if you test positive upon arrival, you will be asked to isolate for 5 days - we won't turn you away!  We will be sure that you have food and any medication necessary.

What if the covid test is positive?

I checked the page and it says that we will find bankets in the room but they're also reported as something we have to bring. Do I have to bring them or not?

if I arrive in the early morning, will the rapid test be available? (1 am)
AvatarYale Summer Session
11:57
that is ok!
helena gouveia
11:57
Is there a problem if I can only schedule my PCR test when I get there? I will arrive at Yale on the 3rd of July.
Meg Palladino

Room mates are not necessarily taking the same course, but they are a similar age, same gender, and usually same program dates as you.
helena gouveia
11:57
Are the roommates decided taking the same course you are?
Meg Palladino
11:56
Your arrival rapid test is automatic, and you will need to schedule your Tuesday PCR test when you get here.

Just to confirm, they should have a covid test 2 days prior. I have already scheduled a test for July 5th. Do I need to schedule the check in test or is that automatic?
Meg Palladino
11:55
Students are generally housed with same gender students in suites.  Students under 18 may have a room mate who is a similar age.  All minors (under 18) will be in Berkeley College.

How do you decide on roommates if any?
Meg Palladino
11:54
Just bring your negative COVID test with you.

Which documents do we need to have for the check in?
AvatarYale Summer Session
11:53
You sign up for a COVID arrival test on July 5 on MyChart. Schedule your test as soon as you can open it (likely when you are in the United States).

We have many international students coming to campus to study in the summer. You'll find New Haven is a very international city, with people from all around the world, so other than getting to know a new place, you shouldn't have too much difficulty. Your residential staff will help you acclimate!

There are many cultural differences for Asian students.  There is also a lot of support for students from different countries, and a large international community that is very welcoming. It's exciting to have students from many countries living and studying together.
