If the Angels actually did make Trout available, that offer would both be very tempting, and very hard for any other team to beat.

Now, if you're the Yankees, do you want to mortgage the farm for a very expensive player with Trout's injury problems, even if he's Mike Trout?

I don't make the list of LHH bats?  Why not?

Because I forgot to include him!  That's why.

Melendez and Singer from the royals, what would we have to give in return? Seems as if it “solves” two issues at once. Cost controlled bat and a starter/reliever if needed.

While Singer struggled last year, KC would want a lot in return, so he's not a buy-low situation.

Melendez I'm not sure really checks any box for the Yankees.  He's not a good defensive outfielder, nor has he hit much at the MLB level, and it seems like he isn't really a catching option any more

heard anything / strong leanings on any of the non-tender decisions?

Most of the arbitration decisions seem pretty straight-forward to me.  Lots of obvious non-tenders on the list

I extended this chat a bit due to the later start, but I've now got to run.  Thanks for all the questions, and keep your eyes on MLBTR for the final few Offseason Outlooks/chats to be posted over the next couple of weeks.
