So I wanted to ask about one of the requirement for Yale summer session. One of the requirement need to upload an I-20 or DS 2019, but I don't have both of them. What should I do??? Hi! If you don't have an I-20, select "need to acquire" in your application and we will assist in getting you an I-20.

I would like to know if international students can apply to financial aid, or if it's only available to US citizens

Yale Summer Session only offers financial assistance to Yale College students. Financial assistance is not available for visiting students at this time. Visiting students should contact the financial aid office at their home institutions to discuss their options for financial assistance.

How long can I get my NET ID so that I can pay the fee and see my course information?
You should get your netID and PIN about 1 week after admission - thye come as 2 separate emails.

Hi Yara. Are you asking about a specific program? Different programs have different admission dates. If you are applying for a general YSS course in Session A or B, you will receive your admissions decision 10 business days after submitting your application and required materials.

Do Beyond College students have to submit SAT scores? Also, I've been living in the U.S. for most of my life and have attended American schools and universities, but the system requires that I submit TOEFL test scores. Is there a way to waive those? When you apply, you will have to submit a bank statement, and Yale will issue the I-20 for you to get the visa.

I knew that there is no air-con in Yale dormitories, is it true? If so, what if it is getting too hot in summer?

Correct -no AC. Bring a fan, or buy one when you get here. If it really gets hot, there are air conditioned spaces that we allow students to sleep in.

Hi! I was wondering that many are often under the impression of "if you get into their summer program it will increase your chance of getting into the college". Is this actually true or is it just a common misconception?

Hi Eve! Participating in Yale Summer Session looks great on a resume, but it does not guarantee admission into Yale University as a full-time student.

Hi Nicole - the faculty are still determining the details of the evening elective. We'll send out an email when it is finalized. Business Seminar has some course specific activities, but the activities offered through the residential colleges are the same.
