Hi! In the English requirements it says about IELTS and other exams but  nothing about GCSE english. Can we still apply if we have english GCSE?

What do students typically do during their downtime?

Hi Annora. It is completely up to you! Our residential counselors host lots of fun activities, like movie nights, carnivals, trips to amusement parks, trips to NYC, and more. There are also lots of concert venues, theaters, and parks in New Haven.

If I am a senior in high school but have been accepted into a college, am I allowed to take the 10-day Directoring Workshop? You can apply to Directing, and if you are admitted, you must be present for the full course. You'd have to check your dates and when you are available.

Hi Luciane. Yes, you can choose to live off campus if you find a place (you must be over 18 or staying with a relative/family acquaintance if under 18)

If yes, whats the minimum and maximum gpa required.Also, if i apply from Pakistan, do i need ielts? Which courses are you offering related to management sciences particularly supply chain management?

Hi - we do require transcripts, but there is no specific gpa requirement. We also need proof of English proficiency, unless you have been studying in an English speaking institution for at least 2 years. Check the course list for our 2019 offerings: https://summer.yale.edu/academics/courses-yale

What type of trips are planned for students?  Do we go to New York City?

Hi Susan. Our residential counselors plan weekday events (board game nights, movies, etc) and weekend activities such as trips to New York City to see Broadway shows or baseball games.
