Yes, all residential activities and trips are voluntary. Courses may have activities and trips, but your instructor will let you know.

There is one bathroom on each floor of the dorm. A floor generally has no more than 10 people, but can vary.

Hi Yihan! You'll first want to make your schedule based on your class times, and factor in study time outside of class. After that, you can see what trips and activities are happening in the resdiential college and base your free time around that. You will want to schedule time in to eat too. Your schedule is your own to make! :)

Hello!  It is hot and humid here in July, with some chilly nights or a few rainy days.  There is no AC in the dormitories, but there are air conditioned spaces that you can spend time in.  Please bring or plan to buy a fan.
