You are allowed to go off campus and explore New Haven, visit New York or Boston which are easy train rides. We also have residential activities for students living on campus.You might not want to leave! :)

Yes, you can purchase sheets and pillows when you arrive.  Perhaps they can be donated somewhere after the summer.  Our residential staff can assist!

Will it be possible to purchase sheets and pillows at the orientation/move in day? I'm flying from Europe and bringing bedsheets isn't entirely practical. Further, upon departure, is there a place to sell or return sheets and pillows?

Dear Caroline, Unfortunately, because of cleaning and turning around of the rooms, it is not possible to check into campus housing earlier than the posted arrival day. If you are coming with your parents, there are local hotels you can sleep in for one night.

Dear Officer,

I am terribly sorry for bothering you here. I wish to ask you about whether I could arrive at Yale's campus some days later than the orientation day (July 2). Due to the arrangement of my Senior High School Graduation Examination (or Chinese Huikao), which will be taken place on July 3 to July 4, I cannot arrive at campus before July 5. In the meantime, the examination is mandatory for each senior high school student in China since it has direct relationship for me to be granted the senior high school diploma. Under that context, I wish to confirm whether I could arrive at campus in person later?
