White Sox offense roaring to life

Lindor the actual most underrated player, now that everyone appropriately appreciates Jose Ramirez

Francisco Lindor
2021-24 1st half: .242/.325/.436 (113 wRC+)

Is it just me or does the Skenes sinker/splitter not look very good?
AvatarDan Szymborski
4:54
I'm afraid to switch to antoher game now that I have A game working
Some kinda Mook
4:54
that first half Lindor still an all-star with his defense
AvatarJay Jaffe
4:54
He is, but fans vote based on batting stats
4:55
Or i should say, they tend to vote based on batting stats
Yeah Well Hiura Towel
4:56
I always say, vote for the best players, not who had the best 1st half. At the very least, it makes for a more entertaining All-Star Game
AvatarJay Jaffe
4:56
it's the right principle, and if you try to pick a team that way instead of who had the hottest last 3 months, people will absolutely cry bloody murder.
AvatarDan Szymborski
4:57
and the thing is since votes are cumulative, if you vote for the players having the best season at any given point, you're making an April All-Star team
sicne the April games will have three times the weight as June games

Excuse me, Jay?
Now?
Davy Andrews
5:02
Oh, I knew you were moving, but you never said where.
(Hi, Matt.)
Matt Martell
5:02
Hi Davy!
I've been in Brooklyn for 3 1/2 years now. It's the place to be
AvatarJay Jaffe
5:02

Do you think Correa and Seager make the HOF with sub-2000 hits (basically, how much will the electorate change by 2038)?
AvatarJay Jaffe
5:05
They respectively need 950 and 949 hits — wild that they're just one apart. I'm less worried about their chances of getting to 2,000 than I am about the quality of their play eroding. Which is to say that I don't think they'll be as solid candidates as we currently presume/hope if they're not getting to 2,000

Ozzie Albies HR batting lefty!

Can Davy watch baseball?
Davy Andrews
5:05
I can see the Yankees-Brewers and Big Inning. I don't enjoy Big Inning, though. It makes me feel like I'm a thousand years old. Too many screens.

You Brooklyn guys can all celebrate this local pride nonsense on July 18.  Let's focus on Opening Day.

We will forget about it, kwah.

Salvador Perez's walk-up music should be a bastardization of the Lorde hit: "and we'll always be Royals..."
