Bells Palsy has been reported in the participants of the studies. The FDA is continuing to investigate this but their initial impression is that the rates of Bells Palsy were no higher than what would be expected to occur in the general population.

You do not register in Aecis for the vaccine. You must go to the HR-info website which you can locate on the coronavirus resource page

How do I register in Aceis for vaccination ?

It is possible for an antibody test to be positive after the vaccine but a PCR test would not be positive after vaccination. Therefore anyone with a positive PCR test after the vaccine should treat that as a true positive

Can the PCR or rapid antigen or antibody test can come back positive after receiving vaccine without any history of COVID19 infection?

We would recommend communicating this with your HR specialist and working to arrange this in case your employment changes between your first & second doses

Can I get the 2nd dose of the vaccine even though I’m not employed by Einstein by that time
Einstein Healthcare Network
12:33
We receive 1950 doses and we are fairly confident that more vaccine will be available when we exhaust the initial supply

After our initial allotment of vaccine doses run out when can we expect more?

HCP who primarily work in an outpatient setting are scheduled to be offered vaccine after the HCP who care for patients in the hospital are offered vaccination.

How are providers caring for patients face to face in an outpatient setting classified for risk?

If you completed the form on HR-info, you will receive an email invitation to schedule an online appointment depending on your level of priority

12:33
How will we know when we can get the vaccine.
Einstein Healthcare Network
12:32
Yes, and if you sign up as a vaccinator, you will receive this education.

Hi, for those involved in administrating the vaccine, is there any education/vaccine policies/competencies that should be completed prior?

We will likely use both the Pfizer and eventually Moderna vaccine once it receives EUA authorization. We will make sure that those that receive Pfizer for their first dose will receive Pfizer for their second dose and vice versa.
Becky

Will Einstein be strictly using the Pfizer vaccine or will they use others as they get approved?

We will begin vaccinating at Elkins Park on Monday. This is because the shipment a vaccine outside of Philadelphia has been delayed a few days

There have been rare severe allergic reactions that occur within 15 minutes of vaccination. We are prepared to manage this at the vaccine site. Long term side effects are not known at this time.
EMV
12:31
Are there any immediate side effects of the vaccine that we should be concerned about? And, how about long term side effects?
Einstein Healthcare Network

There is no minimum amount of time from having COVID to getting the vaccine. The CDC recommends you get vaccinated even if you had COVID. You should make sure you have finished your quarantine period before scheduling your vaccination so that you are not potentially transmitting the virus to others.

If someone had COVID, is there a time frame in which they would have to wait before they can be vaccinated?

One employee felt lightheaded for a few minutes and recovered after lying down briefly. Other than that there were no side effects observed yesterday

We have not yet seen all of the ingredients of the Moderna vaccine. The active ingredient, mRNA, is the same. The vaccines were determined to be stable at the temperatures used during the clinical trials. It is possible that the storage temperature for the Pfizer vaccine may be higher, but this has not yet been studied.

Why does Pfizer's vaccine have be stored at such a cold temperature and Moderna's does not? What's the difference between the two vaccines regarding the ingredients used?
Einstein Healthcare Network
12:30
Probably not however it is best to discuss this with your oncologist before taking the vaccine

12:29
Does the vaccine pose any risk to people who have been treated with chemotherapy or radiation for cancer in the recent past (ie 2 years)?
Einstein Healthcare Network
12:29
Currently the vaccine is not mandatory because it has been released under an emergency use authorization. If and when it is fully approved by the FDA, we will consider whether or not to make it mandatory
Guest
12:29
Will it become mandatory to get the vaccine?
Einstein Healthcare Network
12:29
The CDC & ACIP have recommended that Healthcare workers and residents of long-term care facilities receive the vaccine first. As vaccine supplies increase over the coming months distribution will increase to other front-line workers and then the general public.
Guest
12:29
When do you anticipate patients be able to get the vaccine?
Einstein Healthcare Network
12:28
Possibly, once the FDA gives it’s full approval.
Guest
12:28
Will Einstein eventually determine the vaccine as mandatory?
Einstein Healthcare Network
12:27
Currently Einstein is administering the Pfizer vaccine. This is currently the only vaccine that has received EUA. Moderna's vaccine likely will receive EUA in the coming days and we may receive that vaccine as well. Currently all distributions are handled by public health departments to hospitals
