There is no evidence that the vaccine can cause infertility

Is it possible that the vaccinations will be expanded to covered spouses or the community once Einstein is vaccinated?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:13
Yes, we are working on a process to allow household members of our staff to get vaccinated. The household members will still need to meet the other eligibility criteria set by the state or city. More information will be released when that program is finalized. We are also working on a proposal to create a community vaccination program on the Philadelphia campus.

just completed covid isolation after testing positive after an exposure,  asymptomatic; when is it safe to get vaccine and should I get an antibody test prior to vaccine
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:13
The CDC guidance is to wait until you've completed your quarantine period before you schedule your vaccination. Other than that there is no recommended minimum amount of time to wait. Since reinfection within 90 days of the original infection is uncommon, people may choose to defer vaccination for up to 90 days if they want to. Antibody testing before vaccination is not required.

How would those who were only able to get one vaccine fit into herd immunity?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:14
It is hard to answer this question but any immunity will help

In regards to receiving the vaccine, I read on the web that taking OTC beforehand or after may inhibit the immune response.
Is this a myth?
If not did I negate the vaccine by taking Advil before and after the vaccination?
Would I need to get re-vaccinated ?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:14
There has been a lot of discussion on the use of Tylenol or Advil with vaccination. There is a theoretical concern that these medications when taken may reduce the immune response. The CDC has recommended avoiding taking these medications before the vaccine, but if you develop symptoms that you can take them after. There is no information at this time that having taken Tylenol or Advil requires repeat vaccination.

Cancer is one of the conditions that is associated with complications of COVID so you may benefit from the vaccine

The second shot is more of a booster, correct? What is the effectiveness with just one?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:15
We do not have any information about the effectiveness of a 1 shot series as this was not studied. All of the information available is based off a 2 shot series so it is very important to get the second shot. There isn't any data for how long a single shot would last and how effective it is.

Hi someone has the virus how long they have to wait to get the vaccine 2 month or how long
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:15
The only requirement is for the person to have completed their quarantine period. After that there is no minimum requirement to wait before getting the vaccine. People may choose to delay for up to 90 days after their infection since the risk of reinfection is low in that time period, but it is not a requirement and you may get vaccinated if you choose to.

If I take the Covid vaccine and am protected, my do I still need to wear a N-95
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:16
Yes, all PPE, mask use, social distancing, and quarantine rules are still in effect regardless of whether someone is vaccinated or not. As we get more information about the vaccines and more guidance from the CDC and our health departments we will update all of our staff.
2:17
You should not take antiinflammatory meds before the vaccine but they can be taken after if you develop symptoms from the vaccine

What is the point of getting the vaccine if I still have to practice social distancing and wear a mask?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:17
The information/evidence we have available at this time shows that the vaccine protects you against developing symptomatic infection. We don't yet know if it also protects against asymptomatic infection so it is still important to practice social distancing and wear a mask. As we get more information we will hopefully be able to scale some of these measures back. It is important to get vaccinated now so that you are protected.

Is it true that I can get the vaccine be immune to COVID, but still be a carrier of COVID and pass it to someone who hasn't been vaccinated?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:19
We don't know yet whether someone can be asymptomatically infected after getting the vaccine. It was not something that was measured in the original studies. This is being investigated currently. Because we don't yet have that information we are not able to say whether someone can spread the virus even if they've been vaccinated.

Are we aware of any details surrounding longer term neurological affects being reported (ie headaches, memory loss, stuttering, etc)?  Do we know if they're isolated to one brand or batch or any other common measures?
Einstein Healthcare Network

I am not aware of any studies showing this.
