Yes, all quarantine and testing requirements for travel are still in place regardless of whether you’ve been vaccinated.

If I have fully recovered from the COVID, should I still get the vaccine?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:20
Yes if you've recovered from COVID-19 you should still get vaccinated. The CDC recommends all people even those that have had COVID in the past receive the vaccine.

I have heard that taking aspirin or Tylenol right after or before the injection will weaken the effectiveness. Is this true?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:21
There is a theoretical risk that taking medications before the vaccine may reduce the immune response. The CDC recommends not taking Tylenol or Advil prophylactically but if you develop symptoms after you receive the vaccine you can take something

I am on remission from Cancer 5 yrs. ago, no other medical problem. Is it safe for me to get this vaccine. Not taking any medications. Thanks.
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:21
A history of cancer is not a contraindication to receiving the vaccine. I would suggest discussing with your primary care provider or oncologist who has better knowledge of your medical history, if you have specific questions.

If you have severe allergies to peanuts, tree nuts , peas and get an anaphylaxis reaction , should you get the vaccine ? and is 1 vaccine better than the other for people with severe allergies ?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:22
The only absolute contraindication to the vaccine is a history of allergies to the vaccine or it’s components. People with history of allergies to other things can still receive the vaccine but will be monitored for 30 minutes after vaccination.

What happens if you have a COVID-19 exposure close to the time of your second scheduled dose? If you're supposed to quarantine, should you postpone your second dose? Will doing so negatively impact its effectiveness?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:25
You should be out of quarantine before getting the first or second dose.

What if I already had COVID -- how soon can I get a vaccine?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:25
Once you have completed your quarantine period you can schedule your vaccination. The CDC does not have any minimum amount of time that you need to wait but does state that the risk of reinfection within 90 days is low so people may choose to defer their vaccination if they desire.

Does getting vaccinated protect you from becoming a spreader of the vaccine if you come into contact with someone who has it.  E.g., can a vaccinated person come into contact with someone who has it and then bring it home to unvaccinated people in their household?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:26
It is not currently known if the vaccine will prevent someone from spreading the vaccine
sorry, spreading the virus

if we have been vaccinated....are we protected against the new strain(s) that are surfacing
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:27
The pharmaceutical companies are currently doing tests to determine the effectiveness of the vaccines against these new variants. Preliminary information suggests that the vaccines still work against the UK strain. The vaccine effectiveness against the South Africa strain is still being investigated - there may be some reduced effectiveness but we don't know to what degree yet. Moderna has reported starting the process of a new vaccine strain.

I work at Philly Campus and am 15 weeks pregnant. If I decide to get vaccinated can I choose which brand I receive?
Einstein Healthcare Network

At this time the ACIP does not report a preference between vaccine brands. Both are considered equivalent. Therefore we are not offering choice between brands.
