@Riya - I can only recommend googling a dentistry reading list. Remember you also have access to our Libraries at Leeds if you complete the form provided too

Is there a dentistry reading list I could do to show I am doing wider reading outside of lessons?
AvatarJames

@hiiiiiii - it will open in May and you have until the January of the year after to apply or if your looking to study Medicine/Dentistry/Oxford/Cambridge and Vet Science it will be October 2020 :) although most schools will ask that you complete this earlier.

I knew what I wanted to do when I started college but now I have no idea what I want to do anymore.. what can I do?
AvatarShauni

@Hannah you'll experience university style teaching - so sample lectures, seminars and discussions similar to the way you'd study at uni! Lots of very hands on stuff too and the opportunity to ask questions :)

I applied to the sociology event in feb as it has elements of law but will there be a separate law event?
AvatarShauni
4:26
@Anon, yes we should have a Law event in Easter and hopefully a law firm visit in Spring Bank too!

Hello @Hiiiiii! Work experience is not absolutely necessary as such, but it will certainly strengthen your application/personal statement considerably if you have it. If you can't get any relevant work experience, I'd recommend thinking about how the skills you are developing in whatever placement you do may be transferable to the field of medicine.

difference between degree apprenticeship and actual degree?
AvatarJames
4:26
@XX - lots of students are in the same boat - firstly don't worry! id encourage you to attend Get Set For Uni where we look at choosing courses and research along with open days but I would go with something that you enjoy studying! Its really early days on the program and you have plenty of time to make up your mind

Can I get into medicine without doing biology? I take chemistry, maths, further maths and physics at a level.
hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
4:27
could you help us get work experience for example if i want to go into medicine or dentistry
AvatarShauni
4:27
@Guest students on degree apprenticeships are paid to study and also work throughout their degree! The costs of your tuition will also be covered. These are very competitive courses as you usually have a guaranteed job if you perform well!
AvatarMatthew

@hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. We can't help directly with work experience placements. Sorry!
