What I meant about elite versus depth at positions is that the guys that are worth $40+ are in SS, 3B, and OF. All infield positions have 8-10 guys worth ~$20. If I'm spending at the top end I want a $40 guy. Otherwise I'll get the last $20 guy that people forget about for $10.

Given the drops in quality, if you had a choice of getting one elite corner in an auction (1B, 3B, and CI positions open) would you go with one of Goldy/Freddie with most 1B options available or Arenado if all the next best 3B are going until you get down to Carpenter? I can more or less focus on only one unless I want to go really stars and scrubs (which is dangerous; 16-team mixed, 5x5 roto).
