I traded E5 for Whit months ago on your tip about winning league not trade. I’m currently in 1st a lot of which is that trade. Thanks!

Glad to here it!
See, I occasionally give good advice

Ryan O'Hearn: Fluke, or actual coming out party? What do you see for his value?
Brad Johnson
4:17
Lemme look a little closer, I've been putting off worrying about sustainability with him
I've assumed he's exploiting a broken scouting report like many rookies do
4:18
Ok, the thing to watch is his line drive rate. He sucked in the minors because he didn't hit liners. In the majors, he's been league average (~21%)
4:19
If that drops back to his MiLB rates (11.2% and 16.5% in two Triple-A stints)
Well, that could get messy
Outcomes range from unplayable to Matt Olson
Tony Kemp's 2nd biggest fan

Hey Brad (moving over to here from Twitter), do you think people should consider weather and umpires more for their streams or is that sort of obsessive behavior totally unnecessary?
Brad Johnson
4:20
Here's my take on that: if you have the capacity, you should absolutely look into that stuff. I do, but I also do this as a profession
4:21
And even I don't always have time to fuss about these smaller details because I'm managing too many leagues
4:22
For example, I used to put in way more time managing against my opponents stats. For example, I used to scrounge up extra CL then trade them at the deadline for nothing to non-contenders who could catch my rivals but not me.
I don't have the time to get that involved anymore
But if you do have time and enjoy these very marginal metagames, you should play 'em

H2H playoff match-up. My opponent has 13 pitcher starts this week. I have 7. What do I do if I have my rate stats blow up? I have a better bullpen by far (he just has two guys) but I don't think I'll be able to compete with counting stats.
Brad Johnson

The good news is your opponent is unlikely to post nasty-good ratios
So you'll have some margin for error
You need to either win them or trounce on offense

Would you drop Wil Myers for Ryan Zimmerman season long. Standard 5x5 scoring? Balanced offense, I have plenty of steals.
Brad Johnson
4:24
I prefer riding Myers
4:25
I know he's chilly, but he's as likely as anyone (from the waiver wire) to go on a homer binge

How do you expect Norris to fare tonight vs MIN?
Brad Johnson
4:25
I'm hoping he does well since I'll be using a couple shares. I expect 4.2 innings with a home run and 4.5 K

In a 12 team, everyone must keep 3 league, I'm torn between Stanton, Yelich, Soto, and Hoskins.  Kluber's late struggles and Paxton's lack of health (nothing new there) soured me on keeping a starter.   Somehow I see more potential in the younger guys than Stanton ... am I nuts?
Brad Johnson
4:26
Yelich seems must-keep these days
I can't imagine cutting Stanton is the right move
I love Soto, but his lack of SB limits him to 4 category upside
Today, I lean towards cutting Hoskins
4:27
He's the least obviously top 36 player of the bunch

Do you have one pitcher and one hitter you'll be targeting in late rounds of drafts next year?
Brad Johnson
4:28
Too soon, too soon (he went down on Madonna too soon)
I have some vague notions, but I'm not ready to share

Do you think Velasquez is worth dropping either James or Toussaint? I could use him instead of either of those 2 for this week but he has only gone 5 innings in each of his last 6 starts and a couple ended after 2 innings.

Same asset class

You going with TB stack or MIL stack tonight? Or a combo?
Brad Johnson
4:29
I haven't really dug into it that far yet. TB stack looks tasty tasty though

In a deep H2H categories w/ OPS keeper league (20 teams w/ 20 keepers each) where real life contracts matter (players become FA at end of contract unless resign with team) do you keep Yo Cespedes even given his injury? What do you think is his most likely fantasy impact next year?
Brad Johnson
4:30
I can't imagine you have 20 players with a better median than Cespedes
