The biggest takeaway watching the Astros win the WS was the fact the Mariners need to just commit to a rebuild. Ugh. We couldn't have hung with any teams in the playoffs even if the pitching was healthy

We have had some tear it down teams in the series. But the Giants never tore it down. We can't get so myopic and declare, *every* year that we should learn x y or z from the series. It was a series.

Personally, I like Lance Lynn and Cobb to fill the holes.

If Lynn is cheaper than Cobb, I take him. Lynn has plus command and wrinkles on his fastball. Cobb doesn't have that. Both are two-pitch pitchers right now.

Yeah probably a good idea to trade guys like Castellanos and Fulmer next year or even this offseason, for hauls. maybe swallow the rest of Cabrera's contract in the middle of a good year in order to get some prospects from a contender.

Eno, would you have taken Morton out for a pinch hitter when his spot came up? I know past performance doesn't help you predict future performance but with a four run lead you can stay with Morton and keep keuchel just in case.

I asked Hinch and he said, "we had help waiting and he was dealing." I've seen the research that says 'pitchers that were dealing were the same as other pitchers in the next inning' but I question the definition of dealing. What if velo was up, or swinging strike rate? If you used those instead of RA9, what's the next inning look like?
