catch probability on that one is gonna be high. The reason it was a tough catch (and I think so too) is that it was right at him so kinda turned him around. Catch probability doesn't consider that.

If the manager is in on it, I'd ask him to let me pinch run in a blowout. No one would expect the steal. Then I'd get beaned if I ever came to the plate of course.

steal a base is my answer, I think there’s more opportunity for the opponents to screw something up (which is what it would take)

Nah, the Statcast zone took care of stuff like that. They can't penalize catchers for big obvious frames or batters for bailing out. It would crush their grades.
