Big breakout candidate imo. Lovely EVs, good approach. Candidate to put it all together and do something at least Josh Bell-like.

More Likely to Replicate:  Adam Duvall 30+ HR or Myles Straw 30+ steals?
Brad Johnson
1:37
Straw has the easier job of the two. But I like them both to put up passable performances.
1:38
Straw is still getting drafted WAY too early.

What are your thoughts on Jeremy Pena this year and could he be a nice starting SS for fantasy as a late round steal?
Brad Johnson
1:38
Huge late-round steal. Has a chance to lead off.
1:39
Even if he's down in that still-killer lineup, he's not likely to underperform his "basically free" price tag.
Mullin it over
1:39
You think Cedric Mullins can repeat 30/30?
Brad Johnson
1:39
"Can?" yes, definitely. I'm looking more at 25/20 personally.
Bust?
1:39
Is Yoan Moncada off the radar?
Brad Johnson
1:39
Not entirely. He's also talking about running more and dropped a couple BSOHL-ish comments. I think there might be a little bounce here.
1:40
Is he the fantasy monster we all expected? Certainly not.

in my auction draft 1B were heavily overpaid. I ended up with Brandon Belt and Bobby Dalbec. I’m big on dalbec. Do you think he puts it together this year?
Brad Johnson
1:40
Yes, I'm an early adopter of Dalbec when he made that big adjustment last season. Those mid-season changes don't always stick so there's a lot of risk to bake in too.
1:41
But his ADP already more than covers the risk.

NL only 5x5, $260, is Segura worth keeping at $16.
Brad Johnson
1:41
No, pass.

I've unlocked a monster return in Eugenio Suarez in 2022
Brad Johnson
1:41
I'm a touch sad to see him leave GABP where his bat was maximized.
He hits a few too many wall-scraping fly balls.
1:42
On the whole, I'm very bullish about Suarez. He was basically himself from August on. I think he'll give us .225 and 30+ HR
Playable as long as you planned ahead before picking him.

Does Kyle Lewis bounceback this year, or still too much injury concern?
Brad Johnson
1:43
The knee is still a problem so I'd be patient. That said, if you have IL spots, his ADP is so low you might as well take a flier.
Rally Monkey
1:43
Where would you take Oneil Cruz in a 12 team league?
Brad Johnson
1:44
A week ago, I'd be saying around pick 110-130 depending on roster composition. Now the Pirates seem committed to getting that (possibly useless) extra year of service time.
I haven't fully digested if that still means a mid-April callup or something later in the season.
The implications with the new CBA are slightly different now.
Crawdaddy
1:44
how much can I expect from Brandon Crawford this year? Is he a viable utility guy?
Brad Johnson
1:45
Yes, the adjustments he made last season were real. He's not actually fast so double-digit steals is a stretch. And he's old so he could flop for other reasons.

1:45
Does Pedro Leon see time for the Astros at SS this year?
Brad Johnson
1:46
I doubt it. And from what I hear, don't hold your breath to ever really see Pedro Leon do more than appear on a bench from time to time.
The scouting reports coming out last fall were dire.
As always, such things can change dramatically.
Mike
1:46
Padres closer?
Brad Johnson
1:47
I'd roster Dinelson but not plan to get too many saves.
As I said earlier in this chat, I think Lamet is a really good bet to be a Top 30 reliever if he avoids injury. And that's with a projection of just 8 saves.
1:48
Andrew Kittredge was a borderline Top 10 RP last season with 8 SVs (9 W, 9.67 K/9, 1.88 ERA, 0.98 WHIP)
1:49
Lamet's either going to get a bunch of saves, 8+ Ws, or hit the IL

How do you evaluate Siri in Houston’s outfield?  Is he going to add value or be a drain?  Thanks.
