Not for me
This has been a lovely little run of success for him, but he's too flawed to keep his head above water for long.
Never trade Acuna
1:56
My buddy said I was nuzz for trading Acuna, Alcantara, and Gonsolin for Mookie, Jrod, and Gerrit. What do you think??
Brad Johnson
1:56
Meh, that's fine
Kind of an expanded challenge trade
1:57
Seems fair from most perspectives, especially if the other guy needed more SP and you needed another OF.
SP Dynasty

Is 3 years of Logan Webb worth 5 years of Tanner Bibee?
Brad Johnson
1:57
I prefer Webb
1:58
The whole "don't count your chickens proverb" is really about pitchers
I'll almost always take the guy pitching well today over the guy who might pitch well tomorrow.
Keller or Rodriguez
1:59
Who will put up better numbers on bad teams the rest of the year: Mitch Keller or Eduardo Rodriguez?
Brad Johnson
1:59
Keller seems pretty broken at the moment
So I'll say ERod, except he'll be on a good team soon!
Abbott
1:59
Should I sell high on Abbott or hold him? 10 team 5x5 with 10 keepers. He'd be $8 next season in a total budget of $500. My other pitchers are Gore, Skubal, Peralta, Gallen, Alcantara, Paxton, Burnes, Urquidy, Kershaw, and Wright. My biggest holes are 2B: Merrifield, Torres, Altuve; and 3B: Suarez and Yandy Diaz

I'd shop him, but you don't need to shove him out the door. He probably won't help ERA/WHIP, but he shouldn't be a disaster either. And he should help Ks and Ws.

Where do people do their “dynasty” baseball leagues? I can’t seem to find any site that will..
Brad Johnson
2:00
Fantrax is the easiest
CBS costs money, but it's arguably just as good.

Can you expand on your thoughts on Julien?
Brad Johnson
2:02
Sure. Right now, he's succeeding with an usually high K%. So, even though his .432 BABIP will regress, so will his 32.3% K%. When those balance out, he should hit something like .270/.360/.470. While mostly batting in a valuable lineup role.
2:03
He's an elite barrel rate guy even if other aspects of his game might not elevate him to a star-caliber level.
Jonathan India
2:03
Votto is 1 for his last 21.  Steer plays a competent LF.  Stephenson provides optimal WAR at catcher.  Seems to me plenty of room for Reds to keep India, Steer, Delly, CES and McClain.  If they want a pitcher, Noelvi or Collier should be the bait, not the current cast of young budding stars.  What say you?
Brad Johnson
2:03
Yea, that's basically my take too.
The way I see it, putting India on the table is a way of initiating more conversations.
2:04
They'll try to bait and switch in the lead up to the deadline.
My guess is they weren't getting traction on any pitchers with club control.

Brad.., different type of question.., which lineup spot(s) is the hardest to fill when rebuilding a dynasty team? Thanks
Brad Johnson
2:06
That tends to shift over time. Right now, I think 1B is the hardest. The standard at the position is so high, and it's vet-heavy too.
But, you can always buy low on Hoskins or Cron
SS tends to be easy initially since practically every infielder of consequence comes up with SS eligibility - or so it seems sometimes.
2:07
If you're prioritizing asset value, then SP can be the hardest to fill since you won't be rostering many until you transition out of the rebuild.
2:08
But, at the same time, there are always dozens of easy-to-acquire core performers. It's finding aces that's challenging - both in terms of talent identification and keeping them healthy.
Time for me to wrap things up, a few more.
Pitching Prospects
2:09
In a dynasty league, I am looking to stash one or two pitching prospects.   Do you think Kyle Harrison, Ricky Tiedemann, or Brandon Pfaadt will be helpful in the longrun?    Should anyone of these prospects be a priority?  Shane Baz and Max Meyer are also out there but definitely won't help until next year.
Brad Johnson
2:09
I like Tiedemann the best of that group followed by Pfaadt.
Harrison is drifting closer to a relief outcome with every outing.
Blake
2:09
Torkelson or Casas ROS?
Brad Johnson
2:09
Casas for me. Not a strong preference.

You don't think Druw Jones is going to be amazing? How do you compare him to Max Clark, Wyatt Langford?
Brad Johnson
2:11
Jones has exciting athleticism, but the injury-heavy start to his career is giving me scary flashbacks to other unactualized athletes.
