Brad Johnson
12:43
So... just leave him out there, right?
Rob
12:43
Is Riley Greene a must add? Say over Juan Yepez?
Brad Johnson
12:44
Not a must-add over Yepez
Can if that's the bet you want to make
It's likely to be a bumpy ride. Yepez has been smooth.
But we're getting to the point when we'd expect to see the usual rookie slump.
Rad Johnson

Oneil Cruz appears to be back on track after a slow start.  Obviously impossible to predict callup dates, but is there any milestones coming up (Super 2, etc.) that make it more likely he gets the call?
Brad Johnson
12:45
The Super 2 deadline might be a little earlier than normal this year from all those April callups. So that could be quite soon.
12:46
Last year, the deadline was 116 days of service
12:47
I think the number this season might be a little higher. Like 124?
In any case, Cruz does seem to be locked in again, and he's back from his brief injury
12:48
I think it was a mild ankle sprain if memory serves.
h/o, this playlist isn't working out. Bad metal covers of Breaking the Law won't do.
Red Sox
12:49
Who’s getting the majority of the teams saved?
Brad Johnson
12:49
The best answer is the shrug. It's bad no matter who it is. Eventually, it should be Whitlock or Bello.
Erik
12:49
Is Jared Walsh establishing himself as a top 5-7 Dynasty 1B or is now the time to cash out and use him to get a Pete Alonso true stud type?
Brad Johnson
12:50
I think both are true. If you can marginally upgrade without paying a huge premium, you should.
12:51
Walsh is getting pinned into a platoon role. I'm not convinced he needs to be platooned. He still hits for enough power against LHP to play.
Justin
12:51
Who is your favorite buy right now?
Brad Johnson
12:51
Off the top of my head, I'm trying to get Max Kepler cheap right now
Jared Walsh
12:52
Is coach going to make me a platoon player and sit me against lefties when we have our preferred starting line up. Can guys who have me in Fantasy rely on me as an everyday productive OF/1B going fwd or do they need to find hedge players?
Brad Johnson
12:53
So the thing about this is sitting against LHP only improves his rate stats. He'll be good enough to be a top 10 fantasy 1B even with those missing PAs. And if you also plug in someone halfway decent, the amalgamation will be quite valuable.
Broken Bat
12:53
Duran of RedSox… whole different look to lineup construction. Why the elevator back and forth to minors?
Brad Johnson
12:55
I don't think they want to just discard JBJ or Arroyo so they don't feel like they have a move to get him daily reps in the Majors. They might not be convinced he's even an upgrade.
12:56
He's self-reported going back to his old approach which is less power-focused. His peripherals suggest he's a league average hitter or so
90-110 wRC+
12:57
Not much HR output. Decent SB totals. Overall, pretty fringy for 12-team mixed if he isn't top 5 in the lineup.
Mike
12:57
When are the dodgers going to call up Miguel Vargas considering how many of their bats are struggling?  In addition, do you think he will he be a mainstay in their lineup?
Brad Johnson
12:57
They might have some Gavin Lux PTSD.
12:58
Vargas isn't exactly crushing it in Triple-A either. I know the .289/.388/.485 statline looks nuts, but it's only 22% above league average (122 wRC+)
12:59
If I'm not mistaken, he has to be on the roster after this season for Rule 5 reasons which tends to make it easier for clubs to be a little more aggressive about promoting a guy
1:00
They recently recalled Eddy Alvarez for Edwin Rios' role, and I kinda want to see him get an opportunity. Would be a cool story.
Davewadena
1:00
Is Celestino for real? He's hit great & played great defense so far in a limited role
Brad Johnson
1:01
Not at this level. He's a big league-caliber player though.
1:02
From a fantasy perspective, the lack of HR and SBs makes it unlikely he'll return value.
Catchers
1:02
Dynasty, I have Moreno, Cataya & Melendez (+Molina) but need young SP real bad. Which one should I put on the block & what should my return look like?
Brad Johnson
1:03
In general, when you have a surplus and don't know which you want to kick out the door, put them all on the block, be clear about your needs, and go with whichever offer helps you most.
AF
1:03
Would you give up Verdugo, Suzuki, or Nimmo for Kepler in a shallow league with Ks counting as -1?
Brad Johnson
1:04
Without running values for the format, I think they're all the same bucket more or less. I think I like Kepler and Suzuki most? Hard to say really.
I hate subway
1:04
Is this who Ian Anderson is? Seems exceedingly meh, wondering if it’s worth dropping him since I’m getting no trade bites
