I changed to just my initials to help differentiate us Dylans. @Felix how’s Bertram’s list coming along? I can’t wait to see which one of my options he picks.
Felix Lu
2:51
@DH...he's working on it! E-mail me if you have specific questions.

I mean there is a 30k digital trading card on heritage
It works because its an official NBA trading card

Thanks, Felix. Umm, can someone tell me how to attach files to this message?
Felix Lu
2:52
@Simon...there's an arrow symbol to the right of "Send"...that's for attachments

Felix, How do you think you'll be approaching pricing for the digital art?  I can't imagine that a crypto page would command the same amount nor would the demand be the same regardless of an artist's popularity as a traditional ink on paper page would.
Felix Lu
2:53
@Ben H...we shall see. You could be right. That's certainly how us traditional guys would view things. But this digital space has its own rules. So again...we shall see.

@felix yeah seemed a bit OTT to me, but I think he was trying to put on an art exhibit, so was a way to physically sell something digital
Francis
2:53
I mean no one can physically stop someone from printing out this or printing out that

Hello
Will_K
2:53
"monoprint" will be renamed to some other name just so it can avoid being called a print.
Francis
2:53
But whatever the defining marker is, as long as their is enough interest in the person, etc behind it, people will be willing to build around it

Got it thanks.

This topic just makes me feel old and out of touch.
Felix Lu
2:54
@Ben H...I'm not a tech guy, let alone a crypto guy, so I feel you! But it's an interesting space to watch...and a lot of your favorite artists (including a FAVORITE artist) are exploring the possibilities...

@Dan @Felix  I'm with Felix, in that I don't make a huge distinction between a poster, numbered print, monoprint, etc., though I do value a signature on a book or print over an unsigned item, limited or not.

Howdy! Just joining. @Felix - do you know which gallery platform you'll be using for NFT?
Felix Lu
2:55
@Rob...to be announced;)
Francis
2:55
The 1/1 monoprints are just a bandaid to help bridge the gap

I never thought I'd be interested in anything digital, but I'm running out of wall space in a 3600 sq ft home. I've started investigating replacing my home theater's movie posters with a digital display where I can literally access 100s of posters to display. All of a sudden, the idea of digitalizing my physical comic art that way seems appealing versus moving stuff in and out of flat file.
Francis
2:55
I mean, I can relate, because I have never hung up my art
my family lost a house in a hurricane
So ive always kept my art close to me in a way, that if there was a disaster, i could get it out god willing
I consider my CAF my gallery
I look more at my art digitally in my CAF than physically in my binders

@Ben you mean "I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was"
Mikail
2:56
and no sweet suspense waiting for the mail
Felix Lu
2:56
@Mikail...???
Dan T
2:56
@Felix - I'm trying to avoid them, but at a reasonable price, maybe.  I'll give an example.  I'm enjoying the recent X-Factor books and found the artist's rep, selling artist's prints.  I don't like it enough to pay what they were charging, but it wasn't too far off if it was the right page.
Felix Lu
2:56
@Dan T...if Frank Miller DKR art was only available as monoprints, I wouldn't be buying them.
2:57
Regardless of the price.

Everybody here already have wallets set up?
Francis

I think digital art. You choose your marker. If you want a print, make a print, you want to put the code on a coin, do that
Rob R
2:57
@Felix - awesome! Can't wait! NFT is fascinating. Been researching it a good bit lately. It's wild how much the NFT art space has picked up in the last few months. $10-12M a month now. Knew it was just a matter of time for comic art, but didn't think this soon!

@Dan @Felix @Francis  As for official digital collectibles, I personally have no interest, despite the fact that I spend more time eyeballing my own OA collection on the CAF website than I do viewing the pages in the real world, so perhaps I'm just being stubborn and hypocritical...

If anyone can  recognise this artist but more importantly verify it is genuinely by this artist I would be grateful. Thanks. Tried to contact the artist via email on their website but had no reply. They are a bit of a bigshot, to be fair.
Felix Lu
2:58
@Simon...I can't ID that piece readily. If you feel like sharing more info, feel free. Otherwise, if you have any major concerns about the provenance, you should absolutely discuss with auction house, and feel comfortable with the explanation.

Obviously, should have vetted all of this beforehand, but still not too late if they haven't shipped yet.

I don't think I'll ever buy into the digital art. I am too old. Love the feel of the paper, seeing the ink/brush etc. However, I can understand everyone has their own view and for some it might be preferable. Cant fight the tides of change
