@Satya—I have several James Jean prints and they are the most beautiful posters I’ve ever seen! I prefer OA, but beauty transcends its medium, imho. Art is art. Posters don’t scratch the collector addiction...I mean itch...as much for me.

@Ben completely agree. @Fabrice any examples of which French artists? My print-buying is a function of how expensive the original art is and how beautiful and "special" the print is. I would not drop money for a limited edition 11 by 17 print just because it's signed. Most limiteds are manufactured collectability anyway.

@casey a yeah so sephiroth is my safe pic, and the only reason I hesitate is because I have two sephiroth commissions, albeit not from people anywhere near Bergara’s caliber/pedigree. I have regretted not bidding up that Cloud tho. It’s so good

heritage auction question, can someone explain the strategy (if there is one) of bidding up prices 3 weeks before the auction starts? I am in the "speak softly and carry a big stick" camp.

@ Satya. Pretty much all the big Metal Hurlant and A Suivre guys:  Moebius, Bilal, Chaland, Loustal, Tardis, etc.  Contrarily to NFTs, these a very physical objects. Super heavy paper, colors  that can only be obtained with handmade artisanal technics, etc.

@Fabrice...something like that would be interesting for sure. I'd probably buy it. But I wouldn't feel the same sense of urgency as I would with original art. And thus, not as crazed about it.

hey here’s another quick Q before I have to bounce myself... I asked this once before but forgot the answer... I want to display some of my The Dreaming OA with the lettering, and I’m going to ask Bowland if he’ll provide me with the files to do so. Assuming he’s willing, how/where exactly would I get those printed transparently to lay over the art?

@Andy the term is "price discovery". If you are interested in multiple pieces but can go for just one in your price range, you better figure out the interest in all pieces early and get some momentum. Personally not a big fan of the technique, too scorched earth for me.
