hey guys
Victor B.

Hey @Andy Robbins Big fan of Larks work so still try and get the hardcovers for Lazarus
Matthew Birdoff

I know this may be heresy; I love Ian's ar— just got signed up for a commission—but I didn't love the story in Little Bird.
Felix Lu
11:04
@Matthew...you're entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong-headed!:P
Actually, you're not alone...but even the strongest story detractors have still marveled at the art.
Nate A.
11:04
Hi friends! @benno and @Jason k! I agree... Sketchbooks from Ian
Morgan
11:04
@John B the last piece I got from Ian was 14x21 and I am still struggling to find a place to hang it. I’m on his current commission list and am getting nervous about how big it might end up lol
Simon B
11:04
@ Francis C. 400?! I'm trying to stay under 100 for comic art pieces. But there's always wall space for painted art, especially if I can convince @John Butler to sell me back his Phil Hale ...
Francis C
11:04
@Andy you can’t go wrong with a Baby Yoda as an art security guard
Andy robbins
11:04
re Bertram, what did the little bird tpb cover sell for?  I didn’t see the drop in real time
Felix Lu
11:05
$7500. First piece to go.
Jason K
11:05
@jason w best artist no one here knows?
Tyler T
11:05
@Morgan @Felix Bwahaha That is great news to hear. I can't wait for Precious Metal
Malvin
11:05
@Jason K, I suppose it might bring some collectors.  Those that win the current auctions are unlikely to be newbies to the hobby.  Most newbies start small and would be deterred by the 10K+ price. You can argue that some might find out bout it and go for cheaper sketches/artists. It certainly won't detract.  But I don' think it would be noticeable

@TylerT join the club
Matthew Birdoff

I've only gotten 2 commissions. One was a Jeremy Bastian, and now Ian. I'm usually hesitant, but the ones he's been doing through Felix are amazing, and I missed the Little Bird art drop.
Keith B

@Jason Wood i thought you were the man with a million names... you need to pick a thing!
Dan T
11:06
I've commissioned a few artists recently who's work I"m basically unfamiliar with.  I just liked their style and thought it would be applied well to what I wanted done.
Felix Lu
11:06
@Dan...yeah, it all becomes part of your education, your collecting journey. How these turn out will likely determine your path forward. Let us know!
Jason the Rabid Ferret
11:06
@Felix - Any more Seth Fisher art planned to be released for 2020?
Felix Lu
11:06
Sorry, not sure at this time. Maybe?
DarkPhoenix

$7500??? Is that a record for Ian?
Felix Lu
11:07
Yes, for a cover.

@john, I stopped my weekly auctions awhile back.  I was running low on stuff to sell and also had less time. I just consign to comiclink now
@Ron Lim, I assume you are the collector and not hte artists. I haven' seen stuff from you in awhile

Hi Ron

@anyone who knows. Is it possible already to see any of Ian Bertman's Precious Metal pages posted somewhere? @ Felix when will it be available for sale? Any predictions? :)
Felix Lu
11:09
@Joao...when the book is released, in all likelihood. Also, one or more issues may sell complete, so keep that in mind.
Jason K
11:09

@felix I'm halfway through the currently available Mort Cinder hardcover.  The stories are so-so for me, but the visual style and storytelling are wonderful for my taste, and I think are considered groundbreaking in their day by the cognoscenti.
