I recently got a commission from Ian. It's gorgeous (like all of his work).

Hey Nate!

I'll second the request for more sketchbooks, e.g. from DWJ and Harren.  Their commissions are spectacular and unlike their published work, which is also great.
John Butler

@Matthew, well, I have heard that from others. I liked it quite a bit, trough-- I will say I was there mostly for the art though.
@Simon....you can never have enough Hale.

John Butler

@Ron, that has to be a pain in the a@@. He should change his name. You're Ron Lim.

Hi Nate.

@Ron Lim... I guess we can accept you for who you are
John s.
11:11
@Felix You ever tried to get Bechara on a show. Been out drinking with him and he has many stories to tell.
Felix Lu
11:11
No.
Andy robbins
11:11
Tyler - we will have to talk - my concept is a 2 or 3 drawer lateral on the bottom topped with an antique map drawer section, which is about 15” tall
nsatkinson@yahoo.com
11:11
@Andy robbins, I'm not a huge Jim Lee fan but that Dr. Fate was absolutely stunning
Tyler T
11:11
@Ron You're the real Ron Lim
John Butler
11:12
@Ron the best thing about Politic-L was when you and Gary would go at it. Popcorn time.
Felix Lu
11:12
@John...it was watching a straight-up beating. At some points, I actually felt bad for the other side. But they always asked for it. Always.

Felix would have to disinfect everything the shark touched

Regarding the question about cons, I work for a global company (John B, don't say which one!) with thousands of employees. We've been having WEEKLY updates on health and business.

This week, our guest speaker was a doctor. He was asked SPECIFICALLY about large scale events. He can't see any large gatherings until late winter WITH AN IMPORTANT CAVEAT. No events unless you can test people BEFORE they come to the event.

He said civil liberties will have to be given up for contact tracing and testing. It has to be more than an "opt-in basis"... EVERYONE will need to be tested. THIS WILL BE THE NEW NORMAL. "If we don't protect everybody, there will be major problems... I'm scared about the future unless we do that."
He also told us a single airline flight can destroy everything for everyone. This is precisely why I get angry about people who bitch about social distancing. Until we get this under control, everyone has to be on the same page and not be so anxious to

Plus he have to check his pockets and make sure he still had his wallet
John Espinoza
11:14
@Malvin I was wondering when you would run out lol! You have one monster of a collection—both in quantity and quality.

11:14
I'm sorry I missed the Politic-L, if only because the rare glimpses I see of those arguments over on the CGC boards are eye-popping
Ron Lim
11:14
@JohnB, it wasn't even Gary that drove me out of the group, it was Chris... when he attacked my DEAD mother!
Andy robbins
11:15
Nsat - I’m not a deadman fan, but that Lee deadman!!!
Tyler T
11:15
@Andy Absolutely. Sounds like you have put some thought into this. I like it. Will send you an email
Andy robbins
11:15
RealRonLim - that sounds like no shows for quite a while - bummer
Jason K
11:16
@Andy - cang ss
@Andy - can't see that Deadman being topped
Dan T
11:16
Missing Dragon Con & NYCC wold suck, but it feels like I'm accelerating filling up my character list with recent requests, so I'll be getting things I want without the travel.  I'll trade off missing Cons to stay healthy and still buy art.
nsatkinson@yahoo.com
11:16
@Andy R., you're right, the deadman was a pitch perfect balance of Neal Adams and Kelley Jones

@Ron-- shaking hands, a thing of the past...the cultural changes this is going to cause are mind boggling.

@felix I'm halfway through the currently available Mort Cinder hardcover.  The stories are so-so for me, but the visual style and storytelling are wonderful for my taste, and I think are considered groundbreaking in their day by the cognoscenti.
