Yes, but all posts are in the queue. I censor nothing. I'll delete duplicate posts, but that's it. But I do reserve the right not to post anything from anonymous posters. If you want your voice heard, put your name to it.

Hey Felix. Congrats on all the commission lists filling up. And while too pricey for me these days happy artists are getting paid well for their work for a change. That said glad you are also doing sketch drops for the under $500 budgets. Do you know if Mike Huddleston will be in that group? thanks

“for modern art, there may be more demand for commissions than published art” - as someone who normally prefers published work and am slowly venturing into art from modern comics, I have no problem with this :-)

When others zig, you zag. It works.

@Felix - there was a dude yesterday that said he would buy a Mcfarlane published cover for Tradd's prices. WHERE, PRAY TELL???
Felix Lu
12:56
In his dreams. That it doesn't match reality is apparently the source of the anger.

That's me. There are a lot of messages in the queue. Working my way through them. If not to your liking, you know where to go.

Here's a question that I had for Felix the other day that he asked me to share on the thread: What's the difference between 1 and 2 character commissions when it comes to some of your artists who often include secondary characters in their commissions e.g. DWJ? It gave me pause to see the 2-character option as I don't recall you including that when you previously opened lists for Dan. Does it mean you won't get secondary characters added if you choose the one character option?
Felix Lu

I don't remember my answer, lol!

But reading this again, I can tell you that it varies from artist to artist. It all depends on what they visualize. In general though, if you ask for Batman only, you might get Batman kicking the shit out of bunch of thugs, but you won't get Batman and Robin kicking the shit out of a bunch of thugs. Hope that makes sense.

@ Benno - thanks!  appreciate the info!

@ Pat L - I love Dragon Con from going there for years as a fan, but last year was my first year focusing on OA.  Got great pages from Colleen Doran on Snow Glass Apples, as well as a great Jeff Dekal Green Lantern prelim cover.  @Benno Rothschild is really the way way better source on Dragon Con OA market.  Great Artist Alley for me though.

Haters should take a Winsor & Newton #2 and try to draw a line like Tradd.

Felix as long as you been doing this, is there a collector that buys up all darkseid or all sandman villain pages?
Felix Lu
12:59
Not off the top of my head.

I have a few 50-150 commission pieces from cons that I'm glad I got. Is nice to interact with the artist and wasn't costly. Also Hi all.

@ Keith - glad that you liked it!  I may go for that option in the future but stil scared.  =)

OK guys, wrapping this up.

@John Espinoza - between the money saved from con cancellations and not eating out and going to bars this has the perfect storm of commission/collecting and I've loved it. I believe you that this pace isn't sustainable (at least for me)!  :)

Felix, sorry to ask twice if you already got it, but as long as you have been doing this, is there a collector that buys up all the Darkseid pages or Sandman(SM) pages?  real hard time finding them

I’m not sure what the big fuss about Tradd’s prices is. I missed out on his list due to price, but I wasn’t upset, I was really happy for him. If he’s able to charge that much, and sell out in hours, that’s great news for the overall health of the hobby. I may be priced-out out of some established artists, but it has just made me search more aggressively for new up and coming artists whose prices are in my range.

Thanks Joe.

Most of my Kickstarter experiences are bad, but I’d back a Sketchbook (signed) of the Felix stable of artists.

Hey everybody!

Sigh...I guess I have to extend this chat...DWJ in the house!

I assume secondary characters that DWJ adds are at his discretion, but if you ask for a second, specific character, THAT comes with an extra charge. Also, if you get a two character commission, both will be featured prominently
Felix Lu

Pretty much! Thanks Joe!

I’m assuming DWJ’s secondary characters are added at his discretion. If you request,

@reba yes, the I want my cake and eat it too mentality. Gotta be able to decide what's worth it to you. Some like a lot of smaller pieces, some like a few big pieces. That is definitely a fun aspect to it all
