@Pat L, I don't overpay so never made an offer on HA. I did receive an offer from HA that I gladly accepted. then they couldn't find the buyer so no sale for me
Vincent

I really do hope things go back to normal but it's up to everyone I guess. I wonder if the days of chatting and photo ops with celebs and creators are done for now.
Rob R
11:38
My condolences Felix. Hoping every day is better than the next.
Felix Lu
11:39
Thanks Rob. PTSD is real. But so is love. I'm counting on the power of the latter do deal with the former. One day at a time.

@Felix Lu - lotta love for you and Kaya on this chat, not surprised. Comic art question: Are you at liberty to comment about the coolest pieces that your repped artists have kept for their own personal collections? Wondering if Tradd held onto the cover for SSB5. Any other cool stories?
Felix Lu
11:40
@A Kuri...Tradd did indeed keep the cover to SSB #5. I'm glad he did. Otherwise...none of our guys really keep much. They're so productive, that I guess they figure there will always be more! Which is great for you collectors!
11:41
Cliff did keep PAPER GIRLS #1-#5 complete. That's the biggest example I can think of off the top of my head.
Rudra
11:41
@Felix. Are you able to say what Tradd Moore is working on current or to be released next ?
Felix Lu
11:42
@Rudra...a lot has been in flux due to publishing/distribution uncertainties. But I do expect things will be announced as we return to some semblance of normalcy. And then all your minds will be blown. That's all I can say for now!
Vincent
11:42
@felix thanks for answering my questions. i will wait to see and keep an eye out for a newsletter update.
how's the art though @brent?
Hunter
11:42
Apologies if I missed the news before but was WWDE 3 sold complete? I really like my page from issue 2. Quiet moment.
Felix Lu
11:43
@Hunter, yes. I will announce very soon. And show you guys some cool stuff you've never seen.
Mikail
11:43
My LCS is open again - can't wait to swing by tomorrow. With appropriate precautions of course
Brent
11:43
I'm not taking the bait, Felix.
Felix Lu
11:43
No bait! Just my comments.
Rick Yankosky
11:43
Harren is the shit.  Any sequentials from him tomorrow soon?
Felix Lu
11:44
@Rick...there will be a new series coming. When that happens, we'll have pages. Can't wait.
Michael K
11:44
@Felix I saw you comment on an artist with an eerily similar style to James on FB. Do you and James take this all as a compliment?
Felix Lu
11:45
I would let James speak for himself on that front. If it was me, though...everyone has their influences, but I do not find slavish imitation a compliment, no.
A Kuri
11:45
@Vincent re: Covid-19 - I do lots of research on this for my day job; I am hopeful that there will be therapeutic solutions that might make a vaccine unnecessary. Those will test out late summer, could be broadly available 4Q.
Rob E
11:45
@Brian Lake - MU helps so much with big events even from a year or 2 ago. I could never collect all the spin-offs in big events, like Secret Wars or Evil-Steve Rogers, but MU lets you read every little spinoff. I hope they'll eventually add in the Marvel Conan runs and Marvel Max.
Pat L
11:46
yes he definitely mentioned James and BRPD!
Felix Lu
11:46
A Kuri
11:46
@Rudra hopefully Tradd is working on a mind-blowing Ronin commission. @Felix Lu my instructions were too controlling... please tell him to do what ever he wants. I just had someone dictate a commission to me and I found it to be annoying! So anyway, break the chains!
Brent
11:47
@Vincent - the art is part of the bundle of sticks I don't want to spoil.
Michael K
11:47
@Felix gathered that from your post diplomatic as it was. Thanks for clarifying.
Felix Lu
11:52
@Michael...I'm only speaking for myself. I think of it in terms of what I do, as a rep. I don't think it's a stretch to say I've been quite influential on other reps. Some more than others. So I think of what James has to deal with from that perspective. I know the common thought is that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Maybe? If it's acknowledged? Otherwise, it's just kind of a rip-off, you know?
Pat L
11:52
@A Kui - do you find that you get better results with directed commissions?  I always feel like I don't know what to ask for
Felix Lu
11:52
@Pat...as you all know, I get a lot of commissions for myself. I never direct. I want the other artist to do THEIR thing. That's what I'm paying for, that's what I want. YMMV.

I was told art con in NJ may happen with safeguards in place
TomFranck
11:53
It's really amazing to see all the Dark Knight 1 recreation pages.  Such an amazing project...
Felix Lu
11:54
It really is an incredible undertaking. It's about half-way done already. Will really be something to see when it's completely finished.
Jason K
11:54
Speaking of Luther strode, I find it amazing that deluxe/collected editions from image seem to go out of print so easily. There must be a solution to that across the board for all publishers
Felix Lu
11:55
It's a tough balance. They'd rather sellout, then deal with excess inventory. The ART OF BRIAN BOLLAND hardcover had something like 4000 extra copies sitting in a warehouse that ultimately needed to be pulped. No one wants that, either.
Jason K
11:55
Thankful to have my Luther strode deluxe tho
Vincent
11:55
ok gotta head off. nice meeting you guys!
Brian Lake
11:55
@ROb E I agree I read Cival War that way a few years back when I had got back into reading again after a hiatus it is great, I plan to do that with all the big events once they are done, much more cost effective and for nostalgia you can also go back to old series as well
Newell Turner
11:55
@Felix same here. I'll give them a character, but very rarely get more specific than that. I want to see the artist cut loose.
