It doesn't cause that much friction in the locker room?  Really?  Seems some of your cohorts there at the PG don't feel that way....
Gerry Dulac
11:15
That's their opinion.
Matt
11:15
Chickillo/Dupree/Bostic back?
Gerry Dulac
11:15
Yes yes no
DelawareDave
11:15
Do you think the Steelers could have won one or two more games if they had done two things: 1) sign (and overpay if necessary) Eric Weddle and 2) pick Darius Leonard with their first draft choice. In the end, they failed to upgrade the defense.
Gerry Dulac
11:17
That's hindsight. Here's how they could have won one, two, three and four more games. Make one defensive stop -- ONE!! -- in the final two minutes in Denver, Oakland, New Orleans and home against the Chargers. If they make just one in ANY of those games, they win the division, make the postseason and who knows what happens.

Will Marcus Allen take Morgan Burnett's spot next year?
Gerry Dulac
11:17
Possible. But he needs to come to camp prepared and ready to do so.

Positional Needs Going Into Draft: (assuming AB is gone)

1. CB
2. LB
3. WR
Gerry Dulac
11:18
1. WR/CB. 2) WR/ILB. 3) CB/ILB
Matt

Surprised Steelers didn’t interview Kevin Greene for OLB coach. Thoughts ?
Gerry Dulac
11:18
Not at all.

11:18
Do they still view Mason Rudolph as Ben's replacement?  He didn't even dress for some games.
Gerry Dulac
11:19
That doesn't have anything to do with whether they think he can be the heir or not
JoeB
11:19
What kind of repercussions is Tomlin facing for allowing AB to do whatever he wanted and essentially creating a monster?
Gerry Dulac
11:19
They could be extreme.
Rob
11:19
Gerry, do you think Tomlin has run it’s course in Pittsburgh like Mike McCarthy in Green Bay and Andy Reid in Philadelphia?
Gerry Dulac
11:20
From a public perception standpoint, yes.
CoalportKid
11:20
Who is the team to beat in the AFC North next year? From Young talent, I have Browns, Steelers, Ravens then Bengals
Gerry Dulac
11:20
I'd hold off on the Browns bandwagon pick.
dave
11:20
I thought Art Rooney's public comments about the team were out of touch with the public's view of the team.  What did you think of what he said?
Gerry Dulac
11:21
It is not his job to think like the public thinks, nor should it ever be.
Tyler
11:21
Is the team sold on Conner and Samuels as a 1-2 punch going into next year, or do you see them addressing an RB2 to pair with Conner in the draft?
Gerry Dulac
11:23
I think they really liked what they saw of Samuels, and so did I. There is no pressing need for a RB in the draft, at least not until the late rounds. There is NOTHING to suggest they will add a RB to supplant what they have with those two.

11:23
What are Brown's statistics in the games he played without Ben at QB?
Gerry Dulac
11:23
Not as good as when Ben is the QB. Nor is his temperament.
JoeB
11:24
To Scratch Golfer's point, the Browns were just as close to being division champs as Steelers. If they won the Steelers game and just one other OT game (and fired Hue earlier), they would have been playing the Ravens for the div title on last weekend. Isn't it somewhat realistic without AB that Steelers end up 3rd behind Ravens and Browns next year?
Gerry Dulac
11:27
No they weren't. If you're going to start talking about "close" and "what-ifs," the Steelers could have easily been 13-2-1 if they got one late defensive stop in any of those 4 games I mentioned earlier. They didn't of course, and that's why they were 9-6-1. But every team in the league can go back and say "if we only did this" or "if we didn't blow this lead." If you want to play that game with the Browns, then play it with the Steelers. The results don't even come close. Please.
dave
11:27
Any idea about the kind of offers they've received for AB?
Gerry Dulac
11:27
No.
TK
11:27
Do you think Artie Burns be on the team when training camp opens?
Gerry Dulac
11:27
I think he will be, but it might not be for long possibly.
JoeB
11:28
The Steelers already sent the message that you can do whatever you want and get away with it! Players were rooting for AB to get away with everything!
Gerry Dulac
11:29
No player worth keeping on your roster was rooting for AB to get away with anything. But I never underestimate the moronic nature of some professional athletes.
Tyler
11:29
Any legitimacy to the rumor that the Steelers are considering transition tagging Bell, or are they content to let this saga end at this point?
Gerry Dulac
11:29
They will only consider a transition tag so they can trade him, not to keep him. They don't want to have anything to do with another year of his nonsense.

How long before they change the Pro Bowl to a flag football game?  It is that anyway.  Loose the helmets and pads and just have some fun.  Fans may enjoy it more...
Gerry Dulac
11:30
You mean a four-quarter skills exhibition????? Ugh
Magic Mike
11:30
Why do you not think the current crop of WR's is good enough w/o AB?
Gerry Dulac
11:32
When you lose your No. 1 receiver, you go replace him with a top receiver in the draft. Did you not see what they did when they traded Martavis Bryant to the Raiders on draft day. They immediately selected James Washington on the second round. If they trade AB and don't draft a WR on the first or second round, I will let you run the chat for a month.
